Am I excited for Dyamite tonight? Yes, I've been increasingly more excited for Dynamite each week since the return to touring. Am I excited for this card? No, no I am not. As fun as it's been to see Gage and Juvi making appearances, I'm eager for the Jericho/MJF angle to be over and done with.

He's not going to retire but I hope he takes a break after that program is done with, the Fozzy touring schedule leaves Wednesdays open for the forseeable future and, let's be real, he's not missing the Arthur Ashe show. But I really don't know what the hell you do with him after a 6 month angle like this.

I'd pop huge for Dark Order taking the belts off the Good Brothers. It's almost certainly not gonna happen as it'll mean Impact just allowed two of its titles to be held by another promotion but I think Impact still does their tapings in batches so it's not like it's hard to send the AEW talent there for two days to tape a month of content.

Nyla vs. Kris should be pretty good I think, they wrestled back at Revolution 2020 and I remember it being a solid match. My heart says Kris wins and ends up being next in line to challenge DMD.

Darby vs. Garcia should be a quick one, the big thing there is if they drop any sort of extra Punk tease ahead of next week's Rampage in Chicago.

Almost all expectations I had for All Out are totally up in the air. I am not buying that Christian will face Kenny a few weeks after facing him on Rampage, it just isn't AEW style.

I know that Pac and Andrade will clash at All Out but I don't think anything else is official.

A lot of the scuttlebutt says CM Punk will wrestle Darby but I don't see any way that makes sense as of tonight. I think Punk will take on Omega.

Darby doesn’t have anything going on and this little mini feud with 2.0 will be over once they’re fed to Darby and Sting. Punk v Darby in a good old fashioned one on one match is just fine. The draw is Punk wrestling.

It just has to have logic.

It makes no sense that MJF has all the control in picking the matches throughout this labor process, but then can get ejected from ringside. He picked the match against Wardlow, and EVEN if MJF misspoke about being the special ref vs just being at ringside, the stipulation included MJF being there. Him being able to be ejected is illogical. His heel character being ok with it, and just moving on to the next stipulation is makes no sense.

Yeah, on AEW's subreddit and AEW Twitter there is this subset of people who think it's somehow gonna actually be Punk vs. Omega at All Out and I don't understand that line of thinking at all. It wouldn't be announced until, bare minimum, the Chicago Rampage.

Punk vs. Omega on a two week build is lunacy in and of itself. And that's before you consider that either Omega would need to lose to someone who hasn't wrestled in nearly eight years, Punk would need to lose his return match, or you're doing a bullshit non-finish. Oh and if it's a title match, as janky as AEW's ranking system may be, giving someone a title shot instantly flies in the face of everything they've done so far.

It is strange that they're doing Omega/Christian on Rampage and it does raise my suspicions on if they'll actually wrestle at All Out because it really isn't AEW's style to do the same match that close together, but I don't know who else he'd work at this stage. Darby is #2 in the rankings right now and could conceivably get the shot but he's also rumored to be Punk's opponent. Punk vs Omega at All Out is as much on the table of potential as Punk vs Darby. Neither have any actual build at this moment. AEW booking Cage and Omega twice in a row doesn't jive with any smart booking, something will happen to knock Christian out of the PPV slot.

But who gets the shot? It's gotta be Hangman or Punk. I know people think that Hangman is out on paternity leave but his wife is due in December. Also, nothing says that if it is Hangman he is destined to win the championship in this match, same for Punk. Everything is up in the air and possible at this time. The one thing I don't see happening is us seeing Christian vs Omega at both Rampage and All Out.

I think there's actually a solid chance Christian beats Omega on Friday, especially if AAA are putting Andrade over Omega for the Mega Title on Saturday. You have Omega's first loss be to an AEW competitor.

But it doesn't have to be a long-form PPV match, that can be saved for All Out. You don't even have to have Christian beat him "clean in the middle". Can be a flash pin type situation, which completely throws him off his game for Saturday's match too. And by Dynamite you have an increasingly desperate Omega clinging to the only title he has left.

I can’t see them run the same match twice. I think we’ll see some shenanigans with the Rampage match, and that gets us to All Out. Putting Punk in that spot would be dumb. And as mentioned it goes against their booking logic to this point. They’ve made it a point for guys to earn their title shots. Not to mention, there’s no win in Punk going for the belt his first match. The payoff has been clearly building towards Omega putting over Paige, you don’t want Punk to lose his debut and you certainly don’t want to throw away a two year build just to hot shot a title.

Punk v Darby seems like a safe bet. The world title match is the one I’m clueless on. Can’t see them giving away their World title match on TV.

Yeah Dante is undeniable, he's gonna be a star. Danny Garcia I can see doing well too, but I as I was watching the match last night I was struggling to remember exactly who he was. They gave him a very quick promo or two over the past two weeks but he has no gimmick, his tights say RED DEATH and even though he is a very solid young worker, over the two or so promo's I know nothing about him. That's a problem. Give him a gimmick and an identity.

I agree. I'm especially frustrated with how infrequent AEW has featured Death Triangle and Andrade. Andrade needs to be pushed as a big fucking superstar and ever since his last match it feels like the star meter has been sliding further and further down. As bad as Andrade is on the mic because of his lack of English, Chavo isn't really any better and comes of like he's as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

Also in a separate gripe, they are abusing the Tony Schiavone in ring interview. They do it a few times each show and usually the interviewee just takes the mic and renders Tony useless. It's dumb.

Not too surprising since it was just a normal Dynamite after 4 weeks of specials. It also seemed like it was too much promotion of Rampage instead of the show that was happening at the time. It had a very pre-show feel to it, like Rampage is the PPV.

I disagree. For one, Darby is at a point that losing isn’t going to hurt him. He hasn’t been beaten clean in ages. He’s been heavily protected. And he’s gone over in his last three longer term feuds. Secondly, the type you’re describing is Darby. He’s established, he’s over, he’s a great worker and he can bump for Punk. AEW protects most of their long term assets. Darby is no exception. And there aren’t a ton of heels that aren’t already busy with something else. I think as a good old fashioned exhibition it’s fine. The same way feeding Sammy Zayn to Nakamura was fine and didn’t hurt Sammy. Granted Nak was a regular competitor overseas. But still.

I also think it’s the most interesting match they could do in such short notice. Darby hasn’t had anything obvs lined up since disposing off Ethan Page. I’m all for the Punk match.

After that I’d like to see Punk feud with either MJF or Ricky Starks. I think the contrast in personalities would lead to entertaining promo segments and an eventual good to great match.

The problem here, though, is that people confuse and/or conflate energy with quality.

Out For Justice is a guilty pleasure of mine. I'll watch that shit anytime it's on. Just about any early Segal movie, really, before he went overboard with bullshit moves nobody could ever do or unilaterally changing his ethnicity throughout his career. I will watch Out For Justice with a bowl of popcorn on a lazy afternoon and enjoy the hell out of it. However, even in my enjoyment, I can't pretend it's anything approaching Citizen Kane.

I don’t feel like AEW insults my intelligence, they don’t have lazy ass rematch salad booking, they mostly have known when to pivot direction for characters, and I mostly enjoy what they present. Think the only angle I’ve flat out didn’t care about was the QT v Cody feud. And even then they had a pretty good payoff match on TV do it want a complete loss.

Not to mention, they take guys I like and actually present them in a way that makes me want to keep watching them. Miro being a prime example.
