Tony Khan and the social media team hyping up "the most anticipated announcement in the history of the company" seems to be panicking people....like they're gonna announce Punk's signing and his All Out match but he won't actually be there.

I find it very, very hard to believe that they'd book the fucking United Center and not have him in the building. If that happened the company would rightly deserve to be shat on.

Not saying he'll do anything physical. Hell he might not even cut a promo on screen (could see the show ending with a staredown, though I'd guess he addresses the crowd post-show and it ends up online)......but I can't imagine he's not appearing in the arena, in front of that crowd.

I want to care about wrestling again, it's a big pastime of mine with a ton of memories. WWE is literally unwatchable with their camera cuts. AEW has been pretty fun so far while also making mistakes along the way. For a young company, they are in a good spot and I hope they keep it moving in the right direction.

Maybe they are setting up the ultimate troll. Hear me out. They have gotten a bunch of E-grief in the past for hyping up announcements and then they end up being a bit underwhelming. So imagine them hyping this up as the biggest announcement ever and then Tony comes out and says he has signed some random person or even something dumb like announcing a match for All Out, whatever it is it will have nothing to do with CM Punk. Tony then proceeds to smile and say thank you to the fans and acts like he's leaving. The place erupts in boos as the people think they've been duped.

Then Tony gets up to the entrance, suddenly stops, turns around and says "Oh yeah, one more thing" and Punks music hits.

I'd honestly appreciate the hell out of that.

I think we've been stalled since WCW went down, nobody other than TNA had a real shot at making a footprint. AEW is working on that. WCW didn't top WWF for years. That’s the first time I’ve watched a rival promotion and felt a moment was “big time” since I was a kid watching WCW. They filled up a major arena, featured a big star getting an authentic emotional response. If AEW can keep the stupid shit to a minimum, CM Punk and Bryan Danielson can easily be a game changer for them. TNA had a lot of big stars, but they debuted in a sound stage in front of 500 people. You can’t look at that segment and not see AEW as a legitimate major promotion. Not saying AEW is gonna beat WWE anytime soon, but every other promotion since the fall of WCW has struggled to not look and feel second rate.

I would hope that Friday at 11 isn't that important of a slot for whatever TNT has on next. I don't know that they will do it this week but going forward I think they should do it when necessary. I doubt Jade and Hogan goes for more that 5-7 minutes and as long as Mox and Garcia get over 10 they should be able to pull off a good main.

Kiera Hogan got that DUMP TRUCK. Always impressed by Jade's body but I do think if I was able to pick I'd probably take Bianca Bel Air over Jade. She just seems a lot more fun of a person and would probably be fun to go out to eat with where as Jade looks like she's full of drama and intensity. Those first 15-20 minutes with Punk showing up were awesome and easily one of the coolest moments in wrestling in years.

Even though Tony Khan said it wouldn't be the standard going forward, these first two episodes of Rampage have been crazy in terms of quality entertainment. Like all the chaos and excitement of a 2 hour Dynamite show but squeezed into 1 hour instead.

Stone Cold Jon Moxely is entertaining but I'm not sure I "get" why he was wrestling the skinny kid from the back. They did an admirable job of making him look somewhat like a threat but I thought tonight they might pop a topline talent vs. topline talent main event.

After months of watching highlights and the odd replay I could get my hands on down here I have now paid for recurring access and will probably buy the next couple PPVs to see how committed I am.

Punks a big get, I don't care they milked it, I don't care if anyone else is or isnt excited him and the likelyhood of D Bryan have me in for now.
