Good morning, one and all! Has it really been 25 weeks since the start of this new batch? Where'd the time go? More importantly, was it time well-spent? Regardless, we're here at our diamond edition of Rate the Game as we kick off week 75! Let's start out the festivities by checking out where Billy and Jimmy ended up after last week's ordeal. I made sure to factor in the correction required in regards to Seph's score so the final score may not reflect what the poll shows but it's accurate nonetheless. So what does the leaderboard have to say about all of that?

Well not a real threat to the elite as Double Dragon lands in the middle area down in the number 36 spot with an average of 3.75. No three-ways or anything like that. Heck, even the game didn't allow for the possibility for a three-way as you beat the shit out of each other for the right to the girl. Anyways, we've got more to this 75th edition so let's not lose sight of that. What game are we looking at this week? Roll that beautiful bowl footage!

Jumping right back into some nineties first-person shooter action, this time with a heaping coating of cheese and machismo. It's 3D Realms' take on the Duke, Duke Nukem 3D! It's got virtually every action movie cliché in the book but does it make for a great game or at least an entertaining one? What say you? Let's rate this sucker and reminisce as we look back on this title. Until next week!

Looked it up, and turns out this is the one I played... didn't know the franchise existed before it.

Anyways, it wasn't anything that great. The most I remember from it is paying strippers to take out their pixelated boobies.

I think I split my time playing the PC version and the Nintendo 64 version. I think it was my first introduction to the concept of deathmatches, with the Quake series not too long after. The funniest bit was seeing the differences between the two versions, like the steroids from the PC version just being called Vitamin X or something along those lines.

I gave it a 4. Despite not having a ton to do it's still a classic in my book

Why, yes, I still have my original copy of the PC version. Why do you ask?

Lotta people focusing on the titties and one liners, and not on the build engine, which was pretty amazing to those of us who cut our teeth on doom and wolfenstein.

It surprised me how much mileage the Build engine had. Shadow Warrior and Blood used it, too, I think. Didn't those Deer Hunter games use it also?
