Women's match on... passing the hour mark of the show and getting tired of it.... this is why no rassling show should be more than an hour.... attention spans aren't that long these days....

Ruby Soho's finisher is "not that good"....
Jamie Hayter seems "better" than Ruby....

Not so big a fan of these promo/video package things.... dunno why not.... they just seem... like you don't absorb or care what they are saying and it isn't a good way of moving a feud forward....

Pinnacle theme song pretty rad... shades of Four Horsemen theme...

Is MJF still a part of the Pinnacle even? Seems like he has "nothing to do with them"

Tony Schiavane looking more imposing than Adam Cole in this staredown.....

Adam Cole actually is a better talker than Kenny Omega (minus the annoying baybays)

lol at "This Friday, Sting and Darby Allin will respond to Tully Blanchard's challenge!" followed immediately by "Next Wednesday, Darby Allin will take on Shawn Spears!"

Don't like the "biting" spot.... in theory it should leave teeth marks, but it doesn't....

Paradigm Shift looks terrible when it isn't a DDT....
Good match.... should perhaps have been built up and prolonged more before it happened... now what are you gonna do with Moxley to keep him busy while not in the main event....

Also was weird randomly announcing Cody's return in a match graphic instead of doing any sort of return story/angle/moment.... like it seemed like they were building to. If they wanted to announce that tonight, they should have continued the trend of people running in after a Malakai Black win but this time it was Cody, after Black continued to beat down his brother post-match.....

Good show overall. It looked like Hobbs got a stinger after Martin dove on him to the outside. He was really wobbly and seemed lost. Especially after he landed the spinebuster and took forever to make the cover, plus the deer in the headlights look after the match was over.
With Danielson, while the yes chants will probably follow him forever, I can see the possible trademark thing being an issue, and I think they want the crowd to chant “you’re gonna get your fucking head kicked in” and sing along with the music, which I think will eventually catch on after Danielson has been around for a while.

I havent read the full thread so not sure if anyone else commented but I loved the PPV recap to kick off the show. I cant think if WWE do this but I used to get a shortened Nitro where I lived as a kid and no access to PPVs so it was always like a live action fucking mystery working out what happened on PPV.
Video package was short but brought me right up to date if I hadnt or couldnt watch the PPV.
The show also had a bit of a welcome to new viewers vibe, little explanations of character notes by the announcers which I also felt was smart.
Loved JRs comment when Taz flubbed a line as well, very genuine, very funny.

Oh I also don't enjoy Ruby Soho... I'm struggling to get into Britt Baker so her vs. Ruby isnt really grabbing my interest atm.

Britt is fucking tremendous. So far I like Ruby but I’m not familiar with her previous work other than her being a jobber on the main wwe roster so I’m coming in with a fresh set of eyes for her.

You didn't miss much. I don't mean that as a slight on her, but she's one of those folks who got horribly misused and cast aside. She had some indy buzz around her during her days as Heidi Lovelace, so of course WWE just had to get in on that action. Was decent in NXT. "Creative" building two different stables of three women made mostly of unseasoned NXT callups at the exact same time around two similarly gimmicked women (Ruby and Paige) didn't help matters, though.
She seemed like someone who had tremendous upside with care and time, but then they "got bored with her". I can almost draw the same comparison that I did with Daria Barranato (before they randomly changed her name later to Sonya Deville), Shayna Baezler, and Ronda Rousey, though. That comparison was that they wanted to "create" a Rousey type character from whole cloth, then they got the chance to sign Shayna and started giving her a push, then they actually got Rousey, and had no need for what they saw as knockoffs. Same with Ruby and Paige. They wanted someone Paige-like, but then actually got the real girl back for awhile, so had no need for Ruby in spite of her actually being a decent worker. Of course, she's not model hot and bottle blonde, so no matter how much of an iconoclastic star she could have been, those were already two strikes against her in the machine of WWE.

I figured as much. She’s definitely naturally likable, which is a good thing, and it looks like she’s a decent worker.
