I am wondering...
WWE tricking Samoa Joe into signing a lesser money contract, clear him to wrestle and tell him he'll be in NXT as the champion to get him from signing with AEW then once he's signed and got to "wrestle" you unclear him to wrestle and sit him on the bench.

So, they keep him under contract until he can fuck off and dethrone Trevor Murdoch as NWA champion. Six of one, half dozen of another...
Would be nice, though if things shook out to have WALTER be the eventual title holder, and have a three match series with Joe before that time comes.
Not the case. Joe's deal was only for two matches and then he was going to become a trainer, so he was always going to drop the belt in his first defense.
He alluded to challenging the new champ, which will be match two on the deal and then he's done. Makes sense for the injury/illness to be legit.

Hope it isn't related to his previous injuries or we may have seen his last match, at least in WWE.

Joe could have been a lot bigger in the WWE if he didn't keep getting injured.

He's one of those guys I always wonder "What if?" about.

Yeah, unfortunately he went to WWE when it was too late for a long and healthy run. He has had a very long and intense career where he worked at the pace of a man much smaller than himself. It's no surprise that he's in this situation.
Hopefully WWE keeps him employed regardless, he deserves to have a good job in the industry.

And yes Walter vs Joe is an absolute dream match, I hope one day it can happen.

If he ends up having to retire sooner rather than later then Walter would be an epic retirement match for him.
This sucks because i watched just a bit of Joe back in NXT and it looked like he was really getting his self back in shape. Am i wrong?

Depends on what joes definition of "shape" is, he's always been bulky, i don't recall him ever looking much different, at least not in wwe\tna. :-\

I'm talking Joe coming back to NXT. He looked great.

The guy’s got to be close to done, doesn’t he? It’s sad, because I do love me some Joe.
Joe should have been the guy to call up in 2015 to beat John Cena for the US Title. That’s how you get the ball rolling with him. They were years behind.
* Joe defending the US Title
* Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn for the IC Title
* AJ Styles beating Chris Jericho
These should have all happened at that giant WrestleMania 32 in Texas.
