I was thinking about that too. I could see an angle with Andrade/PAC, probably something with Cole/Bucks, Christian/Jurassic Express, Punk has an interview on Dynamite, probably Team Taz and Dan Lambert too. Can't wait to see Lambert lol.

Last I checked tix in my section were going for like $350 but I still have my doubts a single ticket can be moved for that much. Especially since Stubhub will fuck people for fees on top of that

Just wanna point out that having Lambert direct his shtick at someone and go back and forth with another talker to set up a match really adds to his bit. His last few promos while good were a little repetitive and aimless. Throw an actual angle where he gets to go back and forth and voila the magic is back.

Wow... just wow really. I wanted to comment on a few things in particular but got so carried away with the show I lost track of all the individual stuff I loved. Outside of the Jade Cargill match just a top to bottom amazing show.

Havent read the whole thread but i love the way Mox is being presented btw. Just looks a cut above and its so refreshing to see a guy come away from the title scene and still just clearly be a top guy. If for some crazy reason he ended up as champion next week you couldnt have an issue with it at all from a strength of his persona POV.

Oh and the next few cards look stacked!! Wow, so excited.

I love Minoru Suzuki, but he has been a wet fart in AEW. He looks tiny, his shit looks weak, and he looks giddy to be there. Modern wrestlers are such marks for Japan than I think they forget a lot of Japanese wrestlers are marks for the US.

The Omega/Bryan segment was very flat. Omega looks like shit. I wasn’t going to bring it up, but Lock Jaw agreed, so I feel it’s a valid impression to take away. Bryan Danielson came off as a try-hard with his swearing. Most wrestlers do. You can’t possibly justify showing this stuff to a child fan of Bryan’s.

Moxley's definitely not my cup of tea. His brand of hardcore nonsense is very repulsive. I'm not going to comment on his physical appearance. He's a fairly attractive individual.

I've been underwhelmed by FTR as well. I didn't care much for their performance in War Games either.

I have a soft corner for Omega. While I thoroughly enjoy his in-ring work, his current character work is very polarizing.

It's a non-title match since they have a ranking system in place. But I guess you know that.

When the fuck have they ever given a fuck about their ranking system? It’s fucking stupid anyway. It’s exactly the wrong elements to borrow from sports. You’re sacrificing your freedom and ability to dictate the narrative. Like when Bryan fucking Danielson signs with your company.

You can have the heels hide behind the ranking system. You can have them claim that Bryan hasn’t done anything in AEW yet. Then you have Danielson do something. Maybe he beats Christian? Maybe he wins a gauntlet against Gallows, Anderson, Matt and Nick Jackson? Maybe he’s just Bryan fucking Danielson and TK makes the match because people want to see it and they already *know* he’s the best — you know, put him over? Omega can whinge about it heading into the match, and he can whinge about it later coming out of the match.

There is absolutely no good reason to not make this for the AEW Title. None.

I think their utilization of the system is fair and I don't believe I've ever groaned at their choices. Maybe Fuego Del Sol.

My interest in Kenny Omega versus Bryan Danielson isn't dithered by the fact that the title isn't on the line. Bryan hasn't done anything to deserve one. Title matches are suppose to be important.

So many ways you can go about it. Steal from Flair/Lawler. Bryan can stroke Omega’s ego. “You’re the reason I came here. You’re so good and I’ve hit my peak. You’ve changed the game, and I need to wrestle you. But Kenny, you’re so good that I need to push myself further than I’ve ever been pushed in my life. That’s why I need you to put the title on the line, because I know I can’t beat you, but at least that will dangle a carrot for this old workhorse to push himself to one more sprint. Whaddaya say?”

THEN Omega can whinge after he is out-foxed by Bryan. “He didn’t even earn that shot!” Make him a hypocritical piece of shit.
