Well in the end, Max Payne hooks up with Bimmy and Jimmy in spot 39 as he rises over the hump with a 3.75 overall average. The three of them would know how to handle crime that's for sure.

But it's time for us to handle some stuff of our own. Not that stuff. The stuff that is the new game for this week! Join me as we take a dive into the unknown....

Hmmm. I guess this is sort of in the spirit of Halloween...kind of? Another trip to the really old school this time around as we tackle some more side-scrolling, beat-'em-up action with Altered Beast! Pretty much anyone who had a Genesis knew all about this sucker and it was an arcade darling but what say you? What shall be the final verdict on this game? Was it every bit a raging beast or a meek pretender with no fangs? Let's reminisce and take the poll and enjoy ourselves another week!

Man, I was kind of hoping the gods would smile upon us and make every game for this month horror and/or monster related but Max Payne last week put a damper on that. :o

had a ton of fun with this one as a kid. I remember when it was brought to Genesis and there was a local appliance store that had it on display.


That was the most progress I had ever made in the game, making it to the level where you changed into the pterodactyl looking thing I guess.


One of my brothers ran around for the longest saying "WELCOME TO YOUR DOOOOOOM!"

My first game when mom traded in the NES at Funcoland for the Genesis.

Good memories.

The Bear form level in general always gave me a hard time.

I missed out on this one, being a Nintendo guy. All my Genesis buddies were all about it. My friend had that Sonic Ultimate Collection on the 360 that he played the shit out of. It looked pretty OK. I'm sure if I'd experienced it from the beginning it'd have blown my mind.

Probably would have liked it as kid, but I first tried it as an adult and hoo boy it's not good.

Loved it as a kid but it does not hold up well. Gave it a 4 because nostalgia (and it was p challenging at the time).
