Uncle Phil seems too "soft spoken"

This will become a parody of itself when all the usual woke tropes are identified and then become the identity of said actor/role.

The background of this is some dude made a fan video:

<iframe width="1130" height="636" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/WAfJpyBgcgA" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

It went "viral", Will Smith saw it and liked it, and now the dude is making it for real.

I like the look of the Uncle Phil in his fan video more than the series....

Yeah the fan video looks better. Might be good though!

would be 'insane' if Gail Kim joined this series as will's high school guidance counselor!!

She sucked Roman Reigns cock in a porn ... That's not happening. Will Smith wont let it.

I remember that fan video.

That sort of thing is always better as a concept than it is in reality.

The original had moments of drama in there with the comedy.... hope this one has some comedy in there with the drama lest it become just "dour".

Watched the pilot.... v dour....

Watched the second and third episodes... Still pretty "bleak"....

Ashley disappeared after the first episode

Carlton is kind of a jerk and has a cocaine problem but they said he suffered from anxiety to make it seem like he is ok just misunderstood

Hillary is a woke social media chef and butts heads with her mom cause she doesn't get social media

Uncle Phil running for DA and worried about his campaign and the black community thinking he is out of touch via being too rich

Jeffrey is the "house manager" and just kind of randomly shows up in maybe 1 scene per show to drink alcohol with Uncle Phil or play pool with him, just generally hanging out and chatting when they need someone for Uncle Phil to talk to.

Will is still getting into trouble but also being endearing to those around him and winning them over (except Carlton who hates him), the drug dealer in Philly he got in a scrap with might follow him out there to try to kill him anyways....

Dunno.... despite everything I still kinda want to watch it.... getting caught up in the drama, and all I want to see is for Will and Carlton to start liking each other and getting along.....

sounds rather wank and "too woke for its own good".

hittin all them tropes.
