OK, so sadly just like with American McGee's Alice a few weeks ago, last week's Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes wasn't as much of a hit with the TPWW Universe. Namely, we only had one person slapping it with a rating while a bunch of us hadn't touched it. That's another mistake on my part unfortunately. This means that it's going to have to be discarded and thus cannot earn a place on our leaderboard. Sorry, Fignuts. On the bright side, no editing for me. Here are the current standings in case you need a reminder....

What this also means is that we need a new 94 for this sucker. On top of that, since we've had two editions of Rate the Game where we haven't been able to progress naturally, I made the decision to tackle TWO games this time around. Look for Rate the Game: Week 95 on the forums and be sure to rate that game over there, too. We're getting ahead of ourselves, though. Let's go to the bowl and see what replaces Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes as our 94th game...

Back to some hack-'n-slash action from Sega with one of the most low-key sexual main characters ever in the gaming industry. It's Bayonetta! Did this witch work her magic on you or was it nothing but cheap parlor tricks? Let's do this sucker and hopefully we don't end up with another title that joins the Honorable Mentions pile. It's all up to you. Rate and discuss and share in good health and all that. Don't forget about the other Rate the Game!

Nope. Seemed to be more about her taking off her clothes than anything else. I still gave it a shot, but it didn't hold my interest

Never played it. Seemed like Devil May Cry with a hairy girl. I'll stick with Dante when I want to play some nonsensical over the top fever dream.

I remember this one being a rental from Gamefly, if I'm not mistaken. I figured why not. I was on a spree of gameplaying back then and it at least looked cool. The gameplay kept my interest, but it was frustrating at a lot of points. God forbid you're not perfect all the fucking time in battle. The biggest problem for me was not wrapping my head around the story. OK, there are witches and there's a dude that helps them kill angels and there's another dude that's trying to track down witches and there's a girl that looks like Bayonetta and might be her or her daughter or whatever? I didn't really get it and none of the characters really inspired me to try to get it. I know they did the sequel but there wasn't a lot here to get me to want to see what happened next in this world. Plus, it's on the Wii U and to hell with that.

Gave it a 4 because as a new IP, it provided fun in ways that a lot of other games of the time weren't doing. It had interesting combat and gameplay, the mechanics seemed pretty unique, as did the weapons and I really liked the visuals, too. Also pretty graphically stunning for it's time too.

LOL, What? No. Her hair served as her clothing and she could use it as a weapon of sorts at certain points. Don't get me wrong, there's definitely some borderline nudity but nothing that would move the needle from M into the forbidden AO zone.

Bro, what was the identifier used for high combos? And in the first game, what was the hardest difficulty opened only AFTER you beat it on hard?

Climax and non-stop climax, respectively. It unlock a weapon called "pillow talk".

It's all there. Never said they were trying to push into A or AO - that'd be silly wouldn't it. Just didn't hold my interest.

I thought it was something like Uber Witch or Umbra Witch. It's been a while since I played it.

Non-climax, climax, Pegging, Hot Carl, and then Pillow Talk.

I honestly didn't even remember any of that shit. For as fun as I remember it being, there's very little in the way of details I remember. Kinda why I wish these polls had ½ point options. This would probably have gotten a 3½ from me if so.

So evidently, they are making a third game for this series and it's going to be for the Switch. I didn't even get around to the second. What the hell, Nintendo?
