Happy for Scorpio Sky but the whole “he hasn’t lost in a year” stuff just highlights why building up wins on YouTube instead of TV Madge’ makes the guys who do it look underwhelming. Last thing of note I remember from Sky was eating the pin against Darby and Sting in Vegas last year. Which was fine. And it’s good that they’ve built him back up via singles but they could’ve given him at least a as tv match or two a month in the last year to show what he’s been doing. Would’ve made both him getting a title shot and winning it feel like he deserved it instead of it being a complete shock.

Maybe the shock factor is what they were going for. And I think he’ll hold it for a bit as next week Wardlow probably gets the shaft from MJF and gets “fired” till double or nothing.

Nice @ Jeff Hardy. Adding the Hardy Boys to the tag division seems like a solid move and is much better for Matt than everything he’s done up to now. Kinda hope it’s not stretched out for too long though to the point where they break up and feud against one another. Don’t really wanna see either individually.

I like how Darby and Sting are just these mega faces that come to anyones aid. Smart to use them here though so everyone knew Jeff was coming in to make a face save as not sure many would even cheer Matt Hardy getting saved.

Fingers crossed for Miro personally but I also don't know if I want Miro coming back into a feud he might lose. Depends on how long they want Hangman to be champ.

Whether it's on PPV or TV I absolutely think a heel Jericho is gonna get a match with Hangman at some point. Jericho beat him to become the inaugural champ nearly 3 years ago which kinda set Hangman's entire story arc in motion. Makes sense for Jericho to put him over.

As for Cole I have to think Omega will be back by May. Either a Cole/Omega match or an Elite/UE trios match at DoN.

I think heel jericho is the best option for page's next oppopent. Meanwhile, bring back Miro and have him destroy everybody. Page beats Jericho, so his arc comes full circle. Then he drops it to Miro.

I'm not at all certain that Miro can "carry" the AEW Championship and live up to the match quality we've come to expect from an AEW PPV main event. I mean, I'm quite certain he can't do that.

He doesnt need to have meltzer sploog covered, 7 star matches. The idea is that hes a monster champion. An impassable wall the challenger has to overcome to be champion. Its a dynamic we havent seen in the AEW title picture.

He may not be capable of having a technical classic, but I fully believe that he is capable of consistently having matches that tell a good story, and thats whats important.

Especially when you’ve got multiple 20+ minute barnburners before the main event, it would be good to have something more story driven and not just two more guys aiming to have a 5 star match.
