that cage match was overbooked to the gills, and somehow worse than the last match they had, and we all knew the title was going to change from the get-to. was really hoping for so much more, there was zero fucking selling in that match

Overall this show was a little sleepy for me. I like the Wardlow and MJF stuff, the Danielson & Mox stuff with Regal & Yuta, and of course JAS. The rest of the show just felt like high spots that meant nothing. Like the opening match was a lot of cool moves but that's really it. It was like watching a Twitch stream of a video game or something.

Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for that right off the bat, I had just got home from work. The Hardys came off pretty old to me and the alliance with Sting/Darby/Jeff/Matt makes zero sense other than Sting and Jeff had a terrible night on PPV once and three of the four wear makeup. Weird alliance but I know it's just for one match probably.

Also the Andrade Family Office makes no sense at all. Andrade feuding with who exactly? Matt & Jeff, but he doesn't have a tag team partner no he has two tag teams on his side?

I really loved the kneeling powerbomb onto the tacks. It looked a little messy but I think that actually added to the struggle of the moment. Can't really explain it, it just looked amazing. The way the direction sort of changed midway through.

Conversely I'm not really a fan of building weird contraptions in the ring. The pay off is rarely worth it. I think it can work when the match has a sort of sense of humor about it like you see in GCW. But Britt spending ages building a chair tower, just to fall into it and basically pop straight back up again felt like a waste of everyone's time.

Main was a little rough around the edges at points but they got it right with Rosa getting the much deserved hometown pop. She was the right person to end Britt's reign, and Britt had no other faces to go through.

I’ve also read that they revealed that any title shot Wardlow earns goes to MJF, but he turned down the TNT Title shot for some reason?

This company doesn’t know how to tell stories. Even Punk/MJF was told in a weird jerky kind of way (they set up the Dog Collar Match after they had announced it). Wardlow was a pretty big prospect for them and it already feels like people are done with this.

Are they really doing “I don’t work for AEW, I work for MJF” in 2022? That’s WWE level bad.
