HBK Taking Time Off, RAW Notes, Booker T Retiring; More

WWE management was very happy with the way RAW went last week and the way the Triple H - Shawn Michaels feud got over. They wanted the feud to be the one thing that every single viewer remembered once the show went off the air. The feeling was that the show was not at the level as it had been in the previous weeks during the heavy sweeps period, but it definately accomplished what they set out to do. Expect the feud to get even deeper tonight on RAW.
Speaking of Shawn Michaels, it is expected that he will be taking some time off following the Bad Blood PPV as his wife is about to give birth to their second child.
Booker T continues to let it be known that he is very frustrated with the way his current push is working out on Smackdown, and the feeling is that he will be retiring "sooner than later."

which means... Booker VS JBL VS Eddie???
Booker definitely needs another title run. He has a wonky back, hes already 39 years old, and he's expressed before that he wanted to retire in the near future. He is arguably the best heel on Smackdown, and I think that it would be good for him to have it for a while (although I love Eddie with it). This will keep him happy for a while longer while Smackdown is in its rebuilding stage.

I think since Booker has made it clear he wants to leave soon, he should be used to put other guys over. They are obviously programming him with Cena, so thats a good move, should help Cena a little.
On top of that he makes a good opponent for Eddie, where he can put up a fight, but ultimately Eddie will win.
But I wouldn't give him the title, I mean what would be the point? Eddie is doing fine with the belt, and if they were to take it off him, it should be a guy liek Angle (if healthy) or RVD (if he turns).

I would like for Booker to have a 1 month reign as WWE champ before he retires

Meh, I think that would devalue the title for no good reason. SD is hurting enough, at least they have a strong title, so why hurt that?

More and more wrestlers on the way out.....can you imagine Booker T, RVD, Ultimo and Brian Kendrik throwin it up in TNA? I can peice together some pretty nice matches......

Booker T: he could be given the SD title but the better idea would be to have Book have his last match against Eddie for the title. The storyline would be that he doesn't believe himself anymore so he wants to prove he is the best by beating the best. If he doesn't win, then he retires. Makes sense because not only will it show that SD is a worthwhile show because Booker thought it was a inferior show and couldn't prove it, it will help Book become something great and could build a possible return in case of anything. Plus it shows the power of the WWE title, how meaningful it is, and the dedication to it.
HBK: I think we all deserve a little break from the Kid, after the past couple weeks. He is great for Raw but for the moment, there is enough talent on there that could use the time that would regularly be used by HBK.

I think Booker deserves a title run later this year and I hope he does get a run before he retires. However I don't think that now is the right time because Eddie is doing such a great job as champion right now and so ther e is no reason to change.

Just want to thank Joey Radd for doing a nice job lately of posting some news since apparantly the reporter on this site has fallen off the face of the earth.

Except that Joey did a Richard Gray impression when he said "Michaels leaving" in the headline. He should have said "Michaels taking time off..." That way, it doesn't sound like HBK isn't returning.
The other thing is that this news is from Monday, so it's pretty damn old, especially since it referred to the RAW on May 24. :p
As far as Booker... they really dropped the ball, but his feud with Cena could be intriguing. IMO, though, if they were going to do that, they could have had Booker actually cost Cena the title, then have them feud in a main-event-level angle. They don't need the belt, because a storyline like this would get over on its own. Dupree, however, got buried with his losses to Cena. Why build him up only to tear him down? He could have made a fantastic US Champ.

...So, are you chanting RVD because it would be good to have him turn heel or because you want him to have a title shot as a face? To be honest with you, RVD bores the hell out of me as a face, so crap on that. A heel turn would be worth a chant though, so I'm assuming that you are all refering to a heel turn.

RVD heel turn is such a great idea, only if he doesn't join with the Dudleys

I think HIAC is the perfect way to top off Shawn's career. Please dont come back. And what better way than to have his last match against his best buddy

:y: :y: :y:
They've gotta turn him heel, even if it is during a title shot against Eddie, where he turns heel, the Dudleys help him out, and RVD gets the belt.
Cue a fantastic feud with Eddie Guerrero.

Gotta be with Paul Heyman, and if the Dudleys come along, then so be it!

I don't see this happening. I seriously doubt if the WWE will ever actually put the title on RVD. I would love to see it but it just seems that maybe the WWE lacks faith in RVD in carrying the company. But then again with him probably turning heel soon then maybe they are going to give him the title so I don't know. I just don't think that he will get the belt at Wrestlemania.

You're absolutely correct.
But...............The WWE has got a plan:
JBL is set up against Eddie at the Great American Bash, right?
Wrong!
What's gonna happen is that Bradshaw is gonna injure himself in a freak accident involving a snow-blower, Hardcore Holly and bunch of double-ended dildo's, and he's sadly going to lose his 'Clothesline from Hell' arm.
Hardcore Holly, after being offered the main event sadly has to decline, as he is too distraught, and can offer no further service to Smackdown other than beating up small, new guys who the writers can't destroy in a CW title storyline.
So that leaves them The Undertaker or Booker T.
Well, Undertaker can only say Rest In Peace since the return of the Dead-Cowboy-Man, and Paul Bearer is at McDonalds, so Taker is unable to take the main event spot.
Booker T, when offered the spot can do nothing but cry. At first, Vince believes it is because he is so happy because he will be in a main event again.
However, they quickly come to realise that he is crying tears of sadness and loss, and they quickly ask him about his relationship with Bradshaw and Holly.
All the bookman can offer them is a letter from the Miami Police Department, explaining to them that the Commissioner was on the Internet last night, and saw that in the past Booker T had received a mysterious note, from an unnamed source, that practically begged investigation, but as he must have thrown it in the trash, then he would never make a detective, and his lifelong dream of becoming a traffic policemen was over. Plus the criminal record didn't help.
So who did that leave?
Jamie Noble or Rob Van Dam.
Vince went for the talented, charismatic, skillful option and chose Noble, so he was on his way to find him, when in a freak geographical error he actually found the Cruiserweight dressing room, to find that they had all went home after Velocity, because if they stayed around for Smackdown, people just took the piss out of them. (Stephanie and the rest of the Creative team)
The rest is history.
Vince goes to see Rob Van Dam, Paul Heyman explains to Vince about the heel turn plan, where the Dudleys will run out and get Eddie at the end of the main event and RVD will turn heel and get the title, and hold it until at least 1 PPV after WM21.
Vince is knackered from all this walking about, so he agrees.
