View Full Version : Chip 'N Dale Movie (Disney+)
holy shit. I went in with nostalgia but what a fucking hilarious movie. So many Easter Eggs from other studios outside of Disney. Senator Butt-Head!
The lawyers behind the scenes are the real heroes for this.

Yeah, was surprised at all the non-Disney cameos and references....

really fun time. not gonna lie though Malaney's work is "pretty lazy" here but he has so much charm you might not notice. and if im being completely honest not hearing chip and dales voices come out of them never became less unsettling.
it doesnt have anything to top seeing Mickey and Bugs share a screen like in Roger Rabbit, a moment that blew my fucking mind in its day, but it is cameo loaded and keeps you smiling. i think the only way to make this more fun, but not profitable, is to follow Roger Rabbit and juxtapose our G characters in an R world. (and by modern MPAA standards Roger Rabbit would be hard pg-13 if not soft R. well the smoking alone makes it R.)
i liked it though.

Yeah felt nice knowing Tress would get a nice big disney payday. Shes awesome.
Marked out hard for Randy Marsh.
I feel the same about this as I did about ready player one. Very fun and enjoyable, but without the cameos it would be incredibly mediocre.

One sock, and the kid goes overboard.

Between this and the parts in Ducktales, The House of Mouse is playing with a lot of peoples emotions here.

I felt differently. About Ready Player One, I mean. The movie would have been better if it weren't a movie. It could have stood being one of those "limited series" deals on Netflix or something instead of shoehorning as much as they possibly could into a standard runtime... only made comparably worse if you read the book and know how much was cut for time and altered for IP rights. It's a weird paradox: if I went in blind, I would have loved it a hell of a lot more... but if I didn't already know about the book, I prob'ly wouldn't have watched the movie.
This was fine. My nitpick is a lot of the one-off sight gags (like the Ice Age brand ice cream and Foghorn Legorn chicken dinner) and cameos even beyond the ones named above... like Hogarth from Iron Giant being one of the random attendees at this film's Comic Con expy. Most were too quick and throwaway to notice, and I had to stop watching several times to go back and make sure I saw what I saw.
