Fyter Fest used to really mean something! AEW need's a small boost forward right now. The shows have been good lately but not excellent. I'm hoping that the tag team title match is full of PWG crazy shit but I really want to see Hobbs and Starks highlighted, not win necessary but be highlighted big. Both are really good and have improved so much lately.

Hager/Claudio could be good, but lets be honest, Hager hasn't had any good matches in his career so it's not likely because he really sucks.

Look's like Mox is back to carry this goddamn company on his back again and also to bring some violence and Take a Shit a.

Nah jk not gonna spoilerize other things but just wanted to let you know Keith Lee is fine, he stayed out after Dynamite and explained the situation that was making the rounds on the internet earlier. One of his best friends that hes known since they were kids got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He dedicated the match to him afterwards.

Rampage is really sweet this week, def worth a watch.

Tony sent Hookhausen after everything went off the air to end the evening. Was so awesome. Also Justin Roberts is awesome in person. Love that guy. He was very engaging with the crowd between segments and did lots of fun things. Rampage was actually delayed for like 10 mins because he started announcing for a random rock paper scissors tournament in the crowd and even had Aubrey come out and officiate it lol. At some point he was like OH YEAH IM SUPPOSED TO BE STARTING RAMPAGE haha. Good shit.

I tell you what though...the merch stand SUCKED BALLS tonight. They only had like 6 or 7 shirts and they were not the best. They had a decent Danhausen one and an OK one for FTR, but then it was like one of a picture of the whole roster, one that says "I was there!", a plain BCC shirt, and an adam cole shirt with the tiniest logo ever in the center. That's it. That and a bunch of action figures. It was terrible, they must not have wanted to move merch at all tonight. I got my kid a Danhausen shirt but I was intending to spend a lot more in there tonight if it had been a better spread.

Thoughts after watching this morning:

-I was worried about Wardlow vs. OC on paper but they ended up booking it brilliantly. The only way they could've done that match without it being a squash would be for OC to try to use his quickness to force a mistake and they did just that. I popped huge for Wardlow ripping out the pockets. Say what you will about "false finishes" or whatever but people rarely kick out of the actual finishing move in AEW, so was cool to see Wardlow kick out of the Orange Punch and Beach Break. And then putting him down with one succinct Powerbomb. Nice touch that the Powerbomb Symphony might only be reserved for the people he truly dislikes.

-Mox vs. Takeshita was brilliant. Takeshita has impressed the hell out of me in everything I've seen him doing. I'm glad his excursion is supposed to last most of the year because this is a dude I want to see sticking around for the long haul. Hard hitting match, brought me back to some memories of Mox's G1 run from 3 years ago.

-Christian Cage remaining a heat magnet, heel Luchasaurus is dope. Don't really care about Pillman at all.

-Claudio got me to care about a Jake Hager match which is an accomplishment in and of itself. Pretty solid, obviously the guys were very familiar with each other so that helped things out.

-Anna vs. Serena was alright. Anna very sexy as always, nice to see her get a match in front of the hometown. She's still a bit green but Serena's a good person to put anyone in the ring with. Deeb/Mercedes will be a good match albeit I'm not sure I wanna buy a PPV for a 3rd consecutive month (fuck though, I don't wanna miss Briscoes/FTR)

-Triple threat tag was a blast. They've done a lot of these triple threats recently and to me they usually deliver the goods especially when everyone really starts going hell for leather at the end of it. Possibly Keith Lee's best showing in AEW, dude is athletic as hell for his size. Thought for sure the Bucks would retain after a Swerve/Lee miscommunication and the finish we got instead was very unexpected. Glad to see them get the gold. Cool to have a "can they co-exist???" story end with them actually co-existing, for now at least.

Overall a really damn good episode.

I’m sorry to say, but Christian has jumped the shark. The Pillman stuff was a horrible idea. It draws too obvious a parallel between him and MJF. This is like the fourth week of this and it’s not really evolving. There’s an art to these things and it’s clear that TK doesn’t understand that even with a guy as talented as Christian.

I’ve got no clue why a show is called Forbidden Door or why the door is forbidden when Japanese guys are brought into this promotion all the time. Things like this are entry blocks to a lot of would-be fans. That and the quality.

Wardlow actually makes a good impression on female viewers. Nice to see TK trying to sabotage that with The King of Audience Caps. Just spray the guy with geek juice. We can’t have this product having general appeal.

Moxley is so far and away the weakest member of The Shield it isn’t funny. And that’s with Seth Rollins doing horrible fake laughing on Raw.

By the way, putting your tag teams in the main event doesn’t fool anyone into thinking they are main eventers. This is a textbook modern WWE trick. Lol, remember “tag teams matter here?” I’m sure The Usos are feeling threatened by two WWE castoffs that have been teaming for two months because there was nothing for either of them in singles.

Cody was a nobody in WWE and got so great working indies, New Japan and AEW that by the time he got back to WWE, was instantly their top babyface and had the most compelling match they’ve put on in years.
