I respect what Halloween did for the genre but Ive never really been able to bring myself to care about it.

Much prefer Jason for my silent stabby antagonist.

Eh, Halloween jumped the shark forever and a day ago. Never understood how a deranged, but human person, could withstand the amount of damage done to him. I think Dr. Loomis probably shot him 30 times across various movies, usually using no less than 6 shots each instance.

The last 3. including this one is a direct sequel to the original Halloween, ignoring 2 and everything that came after.

Loomis found Michael out front and was stopped from killing Michael and he was placed in a institution until present day. They have no clue as to Michaels motivation for the killings. Movie picks up 40 years later with Laurie a Alcoholic suffering from PTSD, Michael big set loose and Laurie having to face her fears to save her daughter and Granddaughter.

The 2018 version was pretty good and while it's sequel was a bit of a let down it was still better than anything that came after the original.

Was not a fan of Halloween Kills (felt like Michael cosplaying as Jason) but looking forward to Halloween Ends, I think they'll stick the landing

(also Halloween: H20 is one of my favorite Halloween flicks)

At the end of the original movie, Loomis shoots him multiple times and he tumbles over the railing. He then goes to look, sees he's gone and credits roll.

Is the stuff in your spoiler is them retconning stuff, then dumb.

There are basically 5 alternate worlds in the Haddonverse:

Halloween - H2 - H4: Return of Michael Myers - H5: Revenge of Michael Myers - H6: Curse of Michael Myers

Halloween - H2 - H20 - H: Resurrection

Rob Zombies two Halloween films

Halloween - Halloween (2018) - Halloween Kills - Halloween Ends

H3: Season of the Witch

Technically the whole movie is a retcon because 2 never takes place. Essentially Loomis flies down the stairs and gets to Michael outside but is stopped by the cops from executing him
