I’ve always thought they could use Fury to try and get out of the McIntyre title win, but something about it feels so forced. I’d rather they go with Fury helping Drew win or him doing something completely unrelated.

Here’s what you do: The Bloodline are barred from ringside. Drew scores with the Claymore. You want people to believe that if this went down clean, he could win. Karrion Kross pulls out the referee and knocks him down. Drew brawls with Kross and gets tossed into the steps or something.

Matt Riddle runs down and jumps on Kross. After beating Rollins, Riddle is interviewed and says he is pulling for Drew so he can challenge again. Riddle and Kross get all tangled up. Sami Zayn hits the ring and tosses Drew back into the ring. Tyson Fury jumps the barricade and knocks Zayn out. Reigns gets distracted with Fury and eats a second Claymore.

McIntyre wins, Fury celebrates with him, Riddle maybe makes his way back for it too. Close with your faces standing tall.

I really wanted that match for Clash. It works in a “Battle of the Brutes” kind of way. You just want to see them destroy each other on their home continent as a promotional humble brag about the quality of talent you’ve got.

It’d be fine if they kept it going too. Imperium vs. Brawling Brutes works for SmackDown and maybe even through Extreme Rules. Sheamus has found something since the stuff with Drew. I just hate the way they were dressing, at least under Vince.

Put Sheamus in jeans and a shirt as street gear and you’ve got someone that’s a lot more “believable.” I know they got Drew out of the kilt and into more realistic stuff.

Gunther should always be in wrestling gear or a suit.

Liv Morgan vs Shayna was the biggest surprise. That was Liv's best match by country mile.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions of the modern wrestling fan is that “the money is in the chase.” It’s not entirely wrong, per se — but there’s so much in a babyface run that is actually valuable, if the babyface is over.

The problem is the WWE had a pretty rough time booking babyfaces under Vince McMahon. The prerogative wasn’t on having an active protagonist, but rather trying to get sympathy on the hero. People want to live vicariously through them.

Some people have to look inferior to build stars. As long as Reigns stays unstoppable, losing to him doesn’t necessarily make a face look like shit. It just makes them look below Reigns. Which is fine as long as Reigns is credible as fuck.
