Was watching RAW the other day and during alpha academy's promo I thought "I'd really like to see Chad Gable vs Christopher Daniels." I have no idea if that's happened already but run it back if it has, I guess.

Also (kinda related) I know Cesaro faced WALTER at a house show years ago. I'd like to see that match.

Who do you want to see go at it, either again or for the first time?

Dolph Ziggler vs Kenny Omega and PAC vs Seth Rollins and AJ Styles vs Ospreay maybe?

CM Punk vs Xrod (with The Fabulous Mr. Nerfect in his corner) with special guest referee #1-TK-Mark.

I'm only kinda joking. Like I'd seriously pay money to see this.

Really though I think I'd like to see peak CM Punk vs peak Ric Flair. I think that might actually have been an amazing program.

I wanna see Benoit and Eddie go with all the modern stars tbh. Man some of those matches we coulda got woulda been special. Especially with Eddie and his shenanigans.

Feel like Eddie would've had a fun match or program with Orange Cassidy

I think that 03 group peeked in where ring work and psychology intersect. There had never been a group of guys working at that high of a level across both metrics in this hemisphere

I doubt eddie would've worked with him. Eddie liked comedy but he was a traditionalist psychologically. His stuff made sense and was credible from a wrestling stand point. The comedy types that are pure mockery of wrestling... i dont see him going along with that.

I dont thinj Eddie wouldve allowed wrestling to be the joke like a Cassidy match

@destor You're talking about the "Smackdown Six" right?

That makes sense. I was just thinking of Eddie's antics playing off Cassidy's gimmick.

@destor You're talking about the "Smackdown Six" right?yeah. I think there's a few guys who get left out like lesnar for example but yes

Even Big Show at the time. The matches he was putting out with lesnar, given his size, were clinics. And so damn smart. JBL too.

Eddie vs HBK was the first thing I thought of.

That would be really random if that happened now.

Only if it is an actual shoot, I would not do the job for that Colt hater

In the realm of things that are possible, I’d like to see Gunther vs. AJ Styles.

You get Benoit or Angle against anyone who can go and you’re set.

I want to see Pat McAfee vs. Seth Rollins as far as matches for McAfee go. I find him more interesting than most full-time guys.

I know the idea of the original post is realistic matches with current guys. But since we’ve veered into all-time dream matches... Shawn Michaels vs Ricky Steamboat.

Did we ever get the Triple H/Steve Austin/The Rock triple threat that should have been a big deal?

Wouldn't mind a Class of '02 fatal four-way just for the fun and nostalgia of it. Cena vs. Lesnar vs. Orton vs. Batista.

Then the usual... Chris Benoit vs Bryan Danielson, Benoit vs Punk, Benoit vs Styles, Kurt Angle vs. Bryan Danielson etc.

I would like to see RKBro vs. The Judgment Day. I think that would be a pretty fun tag team match.

Oh, I really want to see Gunther vs. John Cena too. If he can work one match this year, Survivor Series in Boston against Gunther, please.

I’d like Chad Gable vs. Shinsuke Nakamura too. I’d actually enjoy Nakamura & McAfee becoming a team. Put them against Alpha Academy — who I would also include Austin Theory in, so there can be Gable & Theory vs. McAfee & Nakamura matches.

Oh, and I’m just going to say the obvious Imperium vs. Bloodline match. I’d be down for Gunther handing Reigns his first loss in however long. I get he won’t take the belts, but being the guy to beat Reigns in a tag would be pretty damn epic. Do it at Day 1. The Usos are always going on about how they’ve been down since Day 1. The first members of The Bloodline against Imperium at that show. Gunther, Ludvig & Giovanni win, Sami Zayn goes after the IC Title at the Rumble.

Guys, guys, guys…

Labor Day is Monday 4th September 2023. Gunther breaks Honky Tonk Man’s record as IC Champion on 7th September. If they did another UK PPV, they could run Gunther vs. Sheamus, Title vs. Career, with it being the last defense between Gunther and the new record for longest IC Title reign.

Rumors are WWE is having a Gargano vs Gable match tonight. With the longer matches HHH is booking, that could end up being a fun bout.

I soured on Gargano after Gargano vs. Adam Cole for the NXT championship and everyone calling it great when it was kind of "naff"..... good to see that people here have soured on Adam Cole since then....

Have they not soured on Gargano too? Because both guys were always kinda trash.

gargano's been taking some time off to be a parent and just working random indies once in a while as far as i know. so out of sight, out of mind.

Don't think that people here have soured on Gargano...not that I have noticed anyways....

I never really cared for Gargano in the first place but I haven't noticed people turning on him either.

Gargano and Gable will make Gargano enjoyable.

Scrap Gunther vs. Sheamus II. If you run the UK in 2023 on Labor Day Weekend, how about Gunther vs. Ilya Dragunov with the only man to have beaten Gunther standing between him and the IC Title record? What a way to kick up NXT Europe.
