Only as a regular trophy, sticker, spirit, Mii costume, and background character depending on the game.

FYI I had this issue. Loved egm so much. I originally thought that the dbz anime was based on the games, because egm's import coverage of the super butoden series is how I found out about the franchise.

I still remember seeing first form freiza in the anime and thinking " why does he look so different from the game?"

This was always my favorite. Game Infarcer is kind of a spiritual successor to it and I think is still running.

Grand Theft Auto San Andres where everyone thought there basically monster somewhere in the game. People played for hours looking for it.

GTA games had so much to do in them that they were a natural haven for hoaxes. Every game from Vice City and on came with online hoaxes claiming that the previous game maps were still in the latest game and that you could fly to them if you flew long enough over the water.

Of course, all these years later and somebody literally did make a mod that connects Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas together in one big world.

Wonder if the first person to find the easter egg room found it naturally or if it was leaked by a game dev.

The greatest hoax has got to be summed up in three words:

Nude. Lara. Croft.

Sheng Long was a mistranslation that took on a life of its own. EVERYBODY has heard of at least one code, trick, or exploit to remove at least the green tank top from the pyrimidic pixelated jubblies of the globetrotting, akimbo gunning, female raider of tombs. None of them were ever real. Nobody would dignify these with any serious magazine coverage. But they still seemed to perpetuate. And the internet as we would come to know it only made it worse.
