How are you, fellow young people? The forum having a stroke out isn't enough to stop Rate the Game! Unless it completely shuts down, that is. Until that happens, we shall continue on this journey of laying the smack down on the most well-known (?) games in the business. Late as I am in getting around to this week's edition, the format remains the same, and as such, let's see where Star Fox 64 is going on our leaderboard!

Damn, another 4.0 game. Hey, it's a score to be proud of, I think, as Star Fox 64 gets to enjoy some shared space with good company at the number 40 spot.

The list gets longer and longer, boys and girls. What twists and turns await us as we move on? Will we get a new bottom of the barrel? A new number one? Will the Wrath of Destor strike again? What fate awaits our next game?

Hmm...this should be an interesting one. I don't think we've deal with the genre of real-time strategy here. Oh, sure, there have been some sim games, like, uh...The Sims, but the world of PC gaming has had RTS as a cornerstone since its inception. And here we have one of the granddaddies of the genre, it's Command and Conquer! Does it command respect? Did it conquer your heart along with the gaming world? OK, that's enough of that. Command & Conquer was a series I was always interested in trying out but never got around to playing the first game or any other game in the series.

Outside of Age of Empires I and a little bit of Age of Empires II, don't think I ever played any other RTS type game.

Generals was the only Command & Conquer game I ever played.

The only one I ever played was Command & Conquer: Red Alert

For the first game I have to give it a 3, it was good but later installments blow the first one out of the water.

Tiberian Sun was the one I played a lot, more than this one. My friend was all about Red Alert, which looked like it played tremendously. Still, this game is a solid starting point.

Starcraft 64 might have been the better of the two for RTS games on N64 but it also had its shares of sacrifices done in order to work on the N64.

I'm not one to pick one over the other, but when it comes to RTS games, it feels a little wrong to play them on a console as opposed to PC. Halo Wars kind of pulled it off, but it wasn't as smooth as some of these earlier PC titles.

I can't remember if it was Age of Empires or Myth that one of my teachers had on his computer. Whatever it was had to have been my introduction to the genre.

Gotta disagree with the controller. I will agree upon first use, it was a major adjustment. However, that controller allowed a lot of "precision" control (for it's time) over movements.
