Crossing my fingers this is a legends type deal. I have less than no interest in Flair wrestling, don't even really want him on TV unless its in a background capacity in the odd segment.

I kind of doubt Flairs ability at this point to even be a good hype man for a younger talent.

This will definitely be one of the chapters in the death of AEW book. He looked like he was 90 years old in his last shoot interview.

Supposedly what AEW gets in return for promoting the Energy Drink will "practically pay for Ric Flair's contract"

So what happens when the energy drink goes bust because it's an overcrowded market as is?

The energy drink won't go bust. All of Flair's financial investments are solid as a rock.

Ric Flair has never met a dollar that he invested smartly

Which is why this is coming:

People used to point out the similarities between AEW and TNA, but is it even worth drawing attention to it now?

It’s not hyperbolic to say this might be the worst decision they’ve made in their history.

....I just don't get it.

It's clear that Khan has a lot of money but this is basically when you go to a department store that is closing, you think you are getting a good deal for what you are paying but the price is actually inflated, so you are actually paying more even though it's a certain percentage off. On top of that, you get the product home and realize that it's broken in places and is basically worthless.

Like, I understand why Sting might've wanted Flair there for his final run. I still disagree with bringing him in but end of the day in that scenario it's about giving Sting what he wants ahead of retirement and you'd presume Flair fucks off after that.

Multiple years? Who the fuck wants to see Ric Flair on TV anymore?

Tony Khan going at Vince for his abuse allegations is all fine and dandy but you can't take that kind of moral high road and then sign an abuser yourself. That's some dumb bullshit.

Especially when he goes ON RECORD to say:

Ric Flair: "I just made it very clear to everybody that I can take bumps. I have a doctor's release to do anything I want like that. Do I think I'll wrestle again? No. Would I like to? Obviously. [Laughs] I'm never going to say no. There you go. [Laughs]"

100% Ric will want to do something, hopefully somebody doesn't get talked into it.
