Musically, that is.
Over the past couple of days I've been listening to two of her albums, Debut and Post, and I have to say it is some good, unique and original stuff... yeah.
Some of the songs from the Debut album sound a bit dated now, reeking of the early 90's and all, but all the tracks from Post own.
I'd known about her for yeaaaaaaaaaars, but with my lack of new shit (4 1/2 months dry...Oh the humanity!), I've only just started checkin' her stuff out.
I'm no fan of all this electronica stuff, but mixing keyboards/programming and live instruments, with her... shall we say unique vocals, kinda owns.
If you ain't listened to her stuff, check out:
Isobel
Army of Me
Hyper-Ballad
Venus as a Boy
Big Time Sensuality
Play Dead
:)
