He's been having some nagging injuries that he has taken time off for.

Actually the reason he's not on TV has more to do with the Wrestlemania angle they have in mind where Taker will come back to face Kane as the old school Deadman charcater.
They usually dont keep guys off TV simply for angles, but in this case they felt the angle wa simportant enough, and Taker needed time off to grow out his hair and make people want to see him return after the long absense.
He may have had some nagging injuries, but so do all the top guys on the roster, so like I said this absense is all about the angle.
I kinda expect to see hints of his return starting at the Rumble, but I dont expect him to make an actual appearance until a few weeks prior to Mania.

They're keeping him off TV so he can return as the dead man, according to the rumours. Basically, what CyNick said. :y:

I dont reckon he could grow his hair long enough to be the deadman in that amount of gtime. Although it did look like he was starting to grow it before he went off TV

If worse comes to worst, they can always use extensions.

taker rulez!! this guy just doesnt stop!! although the badass character was great and everythin, and gave him some great material(decade of destruction, and when he turned heel and demanded respect) but I personnaly always preferred the deadman character!

Well, Taker's not a threat for HHH's championship. ;) He doesn't mind healthy competition...As long as it's not for HIS title. ;)

Well, he doesn't have to ACT as the "Biker" Taker. As the Deadman, he has to put on an act. Why would he want to do more work? It makes more sense, but then again, the customer is always right (Or so I hear). A ton of fans want him back as the Deadman, and he was more entertaining in the old days, so it's hard to just ignore the allure of Oldschool Undertaker...
