Why he did that no one really knows, rumour has it he was drunk. The match was of great quality and saw Angle kick it out of not one, not two but three stunners before putting Austin away with the Ankle Lock

In what will forever be known as an epic bout, HBK defeated Owen Hart at an astounding 56:35. This match was back and forth with neither man wanting to give up. Owen kicked out of two Sweet Chin Musics while HBk stayed in the Sharpshooter for an amazing 10 minutes before finally getting to the ropes. The end saw HBK reverse an Owen Hart small package and pick up the 3 count.

It was the battle of two great heels. Mr Perfect vs Lionheart Chris Jericho. The match much like Owen vs HBK was back and forth, both men kicked out of the others’ finisher. The finish would see Jericho reversing the Perfectplex into the Liontamer for the submission victory.

These two men put on a match that surpassed their first encounter at Wrestlemania 19. The match was full of quick reversals and near falls. Shawn looked to have it won at 25:36 when he hit Sweet Chin Music but Jericho kicked out at 2 and a half. Jericho in turn thought the match was his when he hit the Lionsault at 30:52 but Shawn kicked out. Finally the end came with Jericho reversing an HBK attempted superplex into a High Crossbody, scoring the 3 count.

A Match made in Heaven as the Excellence of Execution took on The Olympic Gold Medalist. This match was all old school technical wrestling. Plenty of counters and exciting submission holds. Angle managed to hit the Angle slam twice in the match but never was able to put Bret down. Bret would gain the advantage at 45:36 and score the submission victory with the Sharpshooter at 53:56 after a brutal back-breaker. After the match Chris Jericho came out and the two Canadians hugged in the ring. Shawn Michaels tried to ruin the moment but quickly got beat down by Jericho and Hart

Hart and Jericho shake hands before tying up, a quick series of reversals follows resulting in 4 near falls, 2 for each man. Jericho gains the advantage with headscissors and proceeds to stomp Hart into the mat. However he attempts one stomp too many as Hart catches his foot and flips him to the mat. Hart locks in a figure four and lets out a sarcastic Whooo at the same time. Jericho’s shoulders end up down on the mat a couple of times resulting in close 2 counts, Jericho however somehow manages to reverse the pressure and then flip back over and smallpackages him for 2. Both men are now back on their feet. Bret Hart beings an onslaught that would last 15 minutes scoring many near falls. Jericho to his credit refuses to quit and he takes over control of the match at 25:35. He’d maintain control himself for nearly a half-hour, but Bret Hart refused to go down, he’d kick out of everything Jericho threw at him and even managed to get out of the Liontamer. At 53:35 things started to even out and the momentum shifted back and forth seemingly at random. Neither Jericho nor Hart wanted to lose this match. This match was clearly going to come down to who made the first mistake and at 1:35 that mistake happened. Jericho clearly exhausted attempted a smallpackage but Hart managed to use Jericho’s own momentum and roll through for the 1.2.3.

After the match both men exhaustedly shook hands and then hugged in the ring. Soon after Owen Hart, Keith Hart, Stu Hart, Lance Storm, Dynamite Kid, Davey Boy Smith, Chris Benoit, Edge, Christian, Abdullah the butcher, Roddy Piper, Steve Corino, Test, Val Venis, Just Joe, Brian Pillman, and pretty much every other wrestler who has strong ties with Canadian wrestling come to the ring and together they all celebrate Bret Hart`s victory and Chris Jericho’s valiant effort.

Shawn Micheals, HHH and a couple of TPWW guys who like Hogan and Flair try to charge the ring but they quickly get disposed off and the celebration continues, all night long.
