OK
going back to Royal Rumble 1993.
Hart bros vs Quebececans (I think)
Bret hurts his leg in the match. has the opportunity to tag owen, but doesnt. Instead, trys to lock on the sharpshooter. bret looses the match. owen et pissed off @ him.
Whose fault was it?
That was Owen's heel turn...but really...it wasnt a big heel turn!....was hardly even a turn!

He kicked his bad leg after the match though. That's a cheap shot. Good heel turn to me.

I think I would be pissed to. I thought the kick was a good way to start the turn.

I thought that was great. I mean here's the whiney weaker younger brother who saw an oppurtunity to take out his injured brother and he went for it, then left. Bret couldn't defend himself at all and Owen knew it.

true bret couldnt defend himself, and kicking bret was a turn.
but bret was selfish, and therefore, it could almost be deemed appropriate.
Reminds me so much of eddie Guerrero-Chavo Guerrero.
Eddie steals limelight, tension occurs, we think the tension is difused somewhat, older (more experienced wrestler) is selfish in 1 match and younger wrestler gets him when he's down.
Still, anywayz, Bret could have made the tag. Hence he was being a selfish, which i found interesting when everyone booed owen (prior to kicking bret). I suppose it was jsut the overness Bret possessed

I see how your looking at it. But, to the audience, Bret just made a little mistake under the heat of battle. I haven't seen the match in a while, but I pretty sure Bret was apoligizing to Owen after the match or at least gesturing it. If that's the case, then Owen is seen as the bad guy cause not only did he not accept the apology, but he kicked an injured man from behind.

Yup. Kicking someone's leg out of his leg is always a great way to turn heel in my book. (I do think it was a good turn, because he turned on his own brother, plus he hit him when Bret was down)
It was a good heel turn. Owen was hated after it and it built to one of the best WWE matches of all time as well as the summer programme that year.
