I just saw an ad for NWA-TNA Impact, which is advertising Impact as "coming soon."

Evenm funnier, the show I saw it on? WWE Smackdown!

found this bit of news and instead of making it another thread figured id put it here.

-It was reported earlier that NWA:TNA wanted another time slot. There is a lot of hope that FSN will give the show a Sunday AM slot, and add it to the weekend schedule on most of the affiliates.

I remember when ECW started running ads like crazy on Raw a few years ago.

Yeah, the WWE doesn't have shit to say about what ads are run during their spot. In fact, it's the most logical place to stick the ads, because, let's face it...What's gonna be the best market to advertise a pro wreestling show? Give you a hint, it's probably not during reruns of "Strong Medicine" on Lifetime.

Makes perfect business sense. I don't see what's so funny. Or was there some voice over by that crazy talking colour commentator, he cracks me up all the time.

The fact that they're advertising Impact as though it hasn't aired yet is funny, because it might be totally detrimental to the concept of ADVERTISING.

The fact that ti's running during Smackdown may make sense (I've already addressed it), but it's still FUNNY. Especially when you factor the number of people who were talking like NWA wouldn't be competition to the WWE. Well, they're gonna get squashed, but they're competition in a very obvious way, now.

I never understood why people didn't think they were not going to be competition of some sort. Granted it's not Pepsi vs Coca Cola but Pepsi still loses coke sales to say, I don't know, a supermarket's own brand or some other smaller coke brand. I missed the point about impact already starting, put that down to me British and the fact that we're at least 6 months behind current happenings or something to that effect.

It shows that NWA TNA have their heads screwed on promoting wise, it will be interesting to see whether WWE see fit to advertise during a TNA show.
