- As previously posted, Bill Goldberg and Bret Hart had dinner together following the Stanley Cup Finals game on May 29th. The two discussed the Goldberg kick that ended Hart’s career.
“I wondered if our paths were going to cross at the game, and I hoped they would,” Goldberg said. “After all we’ve been through, I still respect and admire Bret Hart very, very much. With that kick looming over the both of us (from a WCW pay-per-view), it was kind of an issue. Fortunately it became a non-issue after our meeting.”
“I was extremely happy that (we talked) because I have wanted to talk to him for quite a while,” said Goldberg
“What we talked about is between him and I, but the overall outcome was that I feel very good about our relationship moving forward.” Goldberg said.

You know, the nagging thing here is that if Goldberg really wanted to talk with Bret, there is such a thing as a telephone. He could have called Bret like, I don't 2, 3 years ago when this happened instead of waiting for the off chance they bump into each other at a Stanley Cup game.
