I've been watching wrestling rather avidly for 10 years. Started when I was 12 and I am now 22 years old. I only recently have started watching the WWE in the last six, before that it was WCW. But, anyway the point behind my subject is. Why do they visit cities like LA and other such cities in California. Why does it keep going to canada and us poor folks in the HUB of The USA get only two measly shows at the allstate arena a year. One in the winter, and one at the begining of the summer. This tuesday to be exact. So, if anyone can answer this I'll be less likely to continue being angery every time I see a preveiw for the WWE coming to Chicago.

"Started when I was 12 and I am not 22." Oh. sorry

But think about the people in Alaska/Hawaii? How often does the WWE go there?

I know they never go there but the last event I went to was in Canada. And I honestly don't wanna drive that far to see it again. (Sighs) I'm just pissed they never come here..well they do but not often enough.

They do shows here (Boston) all the time. We get AT LEAST 4 TV tapings used to go Raw, Smackdown, Raw, Smackdown....but for like a year and a half all we got were RAW's and we finally got a Smackdown like a month ago. They also do a bunch of house shows in the same building in between tapings, or they visit the local smaller arenas as well for house shows. In about a month they are here in a REALLY small building (South Shore Music Circus)

Where is the HUB of The USA? I honestly dont know since I live in Canada.

Anyways as from the WWE coming to Canada, well they obviously feel that going to cities like Toronto and Montreal and so on will generate greater revenues than "HUB of The USA"

Why would they not want to come to Canada. Obviously our market isnt as big as the USA but thats because of the greater population in the States...hense more shows in the States than Canada. But they obviously they want to give us Canadians a show as well and not avoid the Canadian market as well, so they come up here instead of smaller US cities.

Most of the time when the WWE comes to Toronto or Montreal, the shows sell out, so again why would they go to a small US city where a show isnt going to sell out when they can go to a bigger Canadian city where they know ticket sales will be better?

Poor thing.

But honestly, I have no clue why WWE does that, :shifty:

I wish they'd do a few more tv tapings in Ottawa.

The closest the WWE comes to where I live is the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, CT (about an hour drive from where I live in Danbury, CT)

WWE comes to the NYC area countless times a year... I'd say 1 or 2 Raws and SmackDowns a year, and a few house shows... The New York area seems to get one PPV (One of the big 4) every two years, but sometimes they do it back to back (IE: Contental Airlines for SummerSlam 97 and MSG SS98) or two a year (2002 had SummerSlam at Nassua and Suvivor Series at MSG)... I usually only go to PPVs, but sometimes Ill hit a TV taping... I rarely go to house shows, though... Havent gone to one since maybe 99 or 00...

Then again, the NYC area is basicly WWE's home... So we SHOULD get alot...

To answer your question, probably because of attendance... When they finally DO have one, they'll get more attendance...

My town got one Raw and one Smackdown this winter, but before that, WWE hadn't run a show here in years (I live around Huntsville, Alabama, right around the state-line between Alabama and Tennessee) WCW used to do at least 3 or 4 shows a year here, and NWA-TNA had its first few major shows in Huntsville, so it's always bugged me that WWE goes to cities up North and in California, where wrestling isn't really all that big, but avoids the South like the plague for most of the year.

There are a lot of people in LA, and a pretty big arena (Staples) to fill, so they can make more money with a non-sell-out at Staples than at a sell-out in Saginaw, MI or Moline, IL.

WWE comes to Canada looking to discover more of our Benoits, Jerichos and Harts... and maybe a Test or Tiger Ali Singh too. :shifty:

This is a pretty stupid question if you stop to think about it.

I live out side of Chicago..it is the Hub thingy I menetioned last night, I'm stating we get two shows. Raw and Smackdown at the Allstate Arena one of each each year. No House show's or anything like that. Unlike some of my freinds who could drive to LA almost 7 times a year and get to see what ever they want. IT just really bugs me. And all of my freinds out here are into wrestling, so I honestly don't understand why we don't get as many shows as some Cities Like Boston and LA.

And please Moline selling out over Chicago...has never happened. And also another thing, is if ya watch this Thursday, Allstate will be sold out...I know of at least thirty people who are going,

And I have no problem with them going to Canada...I Love going up there its fun time had by all who go with me, its just...I would prefer more shows in my area.

Not three hours away in Springfeild, or Indianappoles./

I live in Ohio and the shows come through at least 3 times not counting house shows. Plus Im close to PA and there is shows in Pittsburgh often which isnt to bad of a drive in fact the last raw I saw was in Pittsburgh.

you have to remember the WWE is world wide not just America. They travel a lot and to stay constantly in one place would be bad marketing.

I notice that they always make plenty of visits to little towns but rarely come to big ones. Sure, they go to the Staples center in LA and Madison Square Gardens, but why go to Rockford IL when they can go to Chicago or Jeff City MO when they can just come here to St Louis? It's been about two years since we've gotten a Raw here in StL and about four since our last PPV. Instead they choose to make fifteen trips out to freakin South Carolina a year and other little dilly dally places like that.
