-It looks like The Undertaker's new alliance with Paul Heyman & The Dudley Boyz could go on longer than we thought. The WWE is seriously considering turning The Undertaker heel, so that he can be the next challenger to "Latino Heat" Eddie Guerrero's WWE Championship. If the company does decide to go with this plan, the two could headline Summerslam against each other as the main event for the Smackdown-Brand. However, once the Guerrero program is finished, there is a chance that the Undertaker could return to being a face so he can feud with Heyman & The Dudley Boyz.

Be weird if eddie beat taker cleanly, think the wwe has already forgotton that against big show eddie hit him with everything including a frog splash when show was standing and couldn't beat him. How convincing would it be for the same move to beat mr "impervious to pain dead man". :wtf:

This is the WWE we're talking about right? :D

I just hope Taker puts him over, I don't want to see a deadman title reign right now...

Problem is, who is their for Eddie to Feud with?

Only Heel I could see a good program w/ would be Booker T.

or maybe turn RVD Heel or since Eddie is the "Anti-Face" you could do a face v. face w/ RVD...

Actually, regardless of people saying that Taker can't be a heel, I don't care. Eddie NEEDS a feud with a big name to re establish himself. This shit with JBL has been bad for Eddie. As much as I like RVD and Booker, I don't think they are big enough stars for Eddie right now. At this point, I think Eddie should feud with either Taker, or maybe HBK if he comes over.

I get where you're coming from on this, and I agree that Eddie needs to re-establish himself.
This takes nothing away from the fantastic job he did against JBL, as he carried that on his own, but it's people's perceptions that need lifted.

There are 2 ways this can be done.
1. Feud with an established main-evented
2. Feud with someone to an incredible standard.

Option 1 is what you suggested earlier, but after Eddie feuds with Taker, then there's nowhere left to go.
I would be inclined to go with Option 2 with the RVD Feud.

I posted extensively on this in an earlier thread and here's what I said:

The idea of RVD turning heel is mouth-watering stuff, but we always run the risk of WWE watering it down.

I'd love to see a rerun of the matches that Eddie and RVD had a few years back, but I'd also like to see Angle involved in it somehow.
If Angle can wrestle or not is irrelevant. That guy is golden on the mic and can use that to get them both over even more.

Here's how I would love to see it start:
RVD and Eddie are still faces and are having a feud over who has the best frogsplash - spectacular matches, great fun.

As a sideline to this, Eddie and RVD are competing all over the place, every opportunity. Basically in the sideline they are trying to out-do each other in every way, including playing practical jokes on other wrestlers in the locker-room. Basically this goes on for a while, much hilarity ensues, and lifts the 'face' image of both.
Angle calls them both into his office, gives them a bollocking for turning Torrie green or something, and then they both start competing to get Angle with practical jokes, and all the while, they have absolute stand-out matches.
Winner helps the loser to his feet, handshakes after matches, etc, two great faces showing friendship and respect for each other.
Angle keeps getting punk'd by them and the viewing would be fantastic! It would totally lift Smackdown, and Angle would add so much comedy to Eddie and RVD and elevate the status of RVD back to as high as he has ever been.

Then the twist.....
Eddie & RVD do something that really pisses Angle off, so he puts them into a steel cage match.
Eddie & RVD go at it, and just when it looks like Eddie is gonna win, the Dudleys jump out, batter the crap out of him, and 'HEEL' RVD strolls out of the cage with the title.
The fans would be going ballistic, because RVD has turned at the height of his popularity and turned his back on Eddie and the fans.

This is when RVD is the Whole F'n Show!
This is when RVD just oozes arrogance, cockiness, and shows it too!

Plus it might even make Smackdown a watchable show for a while!

That's what I want to see for the next title challenger after the GAB, assuming that they don't give the belt to Bradshit.

I marked out when Taker went heelish at the end last night. It was a reluctant heel, but awesome nonetheless. At least it's not Mordecai feuding with Eddie, as was suggested by that promo... that would have been the worst thing they could have done, since Mordecai has only been around for a month and a half?

I wouldn't mind an Eddie/Taker feud. It'd bring some legitimacy to the main event, and if they're smart, during that time they'll push Cena, Booker, and/or RVD into the main event.

Since 'Taker is already taking on the Dudleyz in the Great American Bash, I wouldn't want another repeat when The Undertaker "frees himself" from Paul Heyman. If he turns heel, I'm hoping for a Ministry Undertaker, with the look and everything. It's wishful thinking, but who knows?

If 'Taker takes on Eddie, Eddie has to win, or he'll leave the impression that he was just a champion of circumstances. He proved he could cheat and still come off as a believable main eventer when he took on Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania XX (my favorite match of the event), so he could cheat over The Undertaker and keep both his title and his status. Sooner or later some big shot from RAW has to jump ship to SD! though, or the title itself will lose credibility.

From the sound of things, it was the latter.

Anyway, it's very possible that this is a swerve, but there is a very obvious candidate in Eddie Gurrerro as his first sinner.

Granted, many of the champs are less than scrupulous, but still. they chose lines from Eddy's own gimmick. that'd be like saying that the dead would rise and bvringing out a cowboy. :shifty:

The problem with feuding Eddie with Taker is that Taker, especially with the Deadman gimmick doesn't sell enough. So what you would have would be Eddie selling and selling and then selling some more. Taker may end up doing the JOB, but the feud would be set up to tell a story with Taker not to make Eddie look superior to Taker. Sow ith that in mind, they are better off keeping Eddie as far away from Taker as they possibly can.

RVD to me is the best option outside of Angle. Big Show would also be an option when he comes back.

LK

Like the Cynick says RVD is the best option after JBL if Angle doesn't come back all though it looks like he will. But then again if we go by the WWE logic an undeserving wrestler that hasn't and never will draw will get a title shot. So maybe A-Train will be put back on Smackdown and get a title shot like Hardcore and Bradshaw :nono: .

Anyway if the WWE are smart, then either RVD or Booker T will be the next guy put into the main event scene.

VonErich Lives

RVD has great moves and would work great w/ Eddie, but can he really carry a main event? I mean, they tried it w/ him briefly on Raw...

The question is also, would it be face v. face? or are they going to flip RVD?

Personally, I'd like to see Booker T win the belt and have a short run, where there's talk he may retire soon... I'd like to see him carry the belt 1 more time... 6 time, 6 time, 6 time, 6 time, 6 time, 6 time! or wait... Raw has the old "WWF Belt" and Raw has the old "WCW Belt"..

So, I guess it would be 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time! + 1! :D

Corkscrewed

If they're smart, they'll actually have Taker do something that leads to Bearer being buried alive and killed off. With Taker's conscious "suffocated and dead," Taker would have no conscience and thus become this really destructive psycho killing machine who does whatever he wants. He'd maybe follow Heyman for a while because it suits his wants as well, but then one day he destroys him or something.

I dunno... I just like the sound of a rampaging Undertaker, tho that wouldn't work too well w/ Eddie. :-\
