Former WWE superstar "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has declined offers to work for Dreamstage Entertainment in Japan, despite the offering being well worth his while. Apparently Austin is worried that if he can't draw in Japan, it will hurt his status with WWE.

Meanwhile, Bill Goldberg contunies to work for Dreamstage. As it stands, it doesn't look likely that he'll be returning to WWE anytime soon, if ever.

Both Test and Scott Steiner have been medically cleared to return to the ring but WWE has no plans to use them anytime soon. WWE is planning to just let Scott Steiner's contract run itself out.

As it stands, it looks as though Christopher Nowinski will never be able to wrestle again due to his concussion syndrome.

I don't think that Austin would draw very well in Japan either. His bad ass anti-authority gimmick probably wouldn't draw very well in Japan, and his in ring skills have deteriorated due to his health problems.

Test would be a decent addition to the Smackdown! roster. However, as many people on this forum have stated, he has had his chance to become a star, and failed. Many people wouldn't take him seriously, unless he were to stay in the midcard forever. Steiner, I don't really care about at all.

Nowinski had his funny moments, and he had some in ring talent as well. His humour was pretty dry however, and the fans didn't seem to react well to him. Perhaps it was just too early, and he would eventually garner more heel heat as time went on.

I think Test would do well in Smackdown, but we'll see.

Steve couldn't deal with Japan anymore health wise anyway. They are a lot stiffer there than in WWE, he couldn't take it anymore.

I think Test could fit in on Smackdown. Very happy that Steiner is leaving. Does anyone know when his contract runs out.

I wonder if Nowinski will still have a part in the WWE. Im certain his guarenteed contract is up they were for what, a year? but Maybe Nowinski can have an active role where he wont have to wrestle.

I can't think of Scott Steiner without thinking of the first match at Bad Blood last year when he slipped off the apron, attempting to dive onto Test. He like barely clipped Test and Test didn't know whether to sell it or not. I laugh my ass off every time I see that tape.

I really thought Nowinski had some potential. It really sucks to hear that.

I hope you're not thinking of Tough Enough, cuz Nowinski was a runner-up and got hired after the fact... his contract would be different from Maven and Nidia's.

To legendkiller:
Test can't go to SD! because Luther stole his finisher (Test Drive).

To Mayo:
Austin would make an AMAZING heel in Japan! I mean, all he has to do is abus geisha girls... :shifty:

Steiner doesn't merit a witty comment.

We have an update on the status of two of the biggest free agents in the industry today, Bill Goldberg and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. The most recent word was that both men were headed to Japan to cash in for several very high paying appearances. This weekend, it was discovered that despite recent rumors, Steve Austin recently turned down a very lucrative offer from Dreamstage Entertainment, indicating that it's unlikely that he will be working in Japan. Sources are stating that Austin is worried that if he does not draw well in Japan, he will not be able to have hand in future negotiations with WWE.

Goldberg, on the other hand, continues to work for Dreamstage. Most are not expecting Goldberg will return to WWE in the near future, if ever. In an interesting note, his profile was finally taken down from the "RAW Superstars" section of WWE.com, despite not appearing on WWE TV since WrestleMania XX over 3 months ago.

Smackdown has enough big heels, they dont need to add Test. However, perhaps bringing Stacy with him as a babyface act might be good.

Steiner is off my TV for good?

I'm so happy.
