Essa was a former LIght heavyweight champion.

he wrestled on the spanish channel

also competed some in TNA

too talented for Vince so he dropped him so that "his" light heavyweights could shine

I cannot forget that tremendous thing he used to do jumping out of the ring, but over the ringpost rather than the ring ropes.
