I was really excited to play this game, but then my PS2 broke and I am too lazy to mail it in :( Anyone played it, is it any good?

Yea I bought it, its alright. Its better playing with mates. Its just like Track & Field. Its got lots of events which is great, but some of them suck. For instance, high jump is rubbish because all you do is follow the footsteps (you'll see what I mean if you play it) and Long/Triple jump are too easy because you dont actually have an angle meter when your about to jump like in Track&Field, you just jump.....

The angle meter was like 50% of the event. Thats lame.

Do you remember that old track game for NES that had the mat?

I was hoping it to have wrestling, swimming, football etc. I probably won't get it now I know that it's just track stuff.

I bought it yesterday, and this one is a lot different than the older games. The older ones were all based around tapping buttons, but a lot of events are based more on timing and precision in this one. Also the 800 and 1500 runs are pretty cool on this because its a first person view, you move in and out of the pack with the left stick and the right one controls your speed, its pretty cool.

All I have to say is that this game is amazing and my whole dorm is playing it now. My room is notorious for the playing the game. I currently have the world record in the 100, 200, and 400, all of which are pretty hard to get. We've maxed out long and triple jump, I think I have a few swimming records, needless to say the game is amazing and I would recommend it to anybody with a common room.

I hope you can jump out of the cowd and make the runner lose. Just like today.

It's a really good game. A little too easy to break records in some events (high/long/triple jump), and a little too hard in others, but aside from that it's a lot of fun.
