This is frusterating, as well as this other problem, computers can be a bitch at times, either that or I'm just plain stupid

I downloaded the new version, I sign in under the username and type in my password, which I believe is the correct one, and when I type it in it gives me this message

We were unable to sign you into .NET Messenger Service, possibly because of a problem with the service or with your internet connection. Please make sure you are connected to the internet. :foc:

....it most likely is not a firewall problem either. And then I'll click on Sign In...and then click Get A .Net Passport, and a screen comes up telling me what it is and to click next and it tells me...

The wizard could not connect to the internet, or the Web Service returned a wizard page that is not valid. Try again click back, to close click cancel. Um..ok :foc:

Anyone know how I can fix this? If so, thank you so much.

It is possible that you clicked "no" inadvertendly when your firewall asked you if you wanted the new MSN to access the internet. You can arrange that by going to the list of authorized programs on your firewall, choosing MSN and putting it's access to the level you want.

Reply if it is not the problem.

Hmm....well I go into Options and then Applications, it tells me what is blocked, trusted and partially allowed. the MsN thing is trusted....and all that, I dont know, is that what you mean?

Yeah, it's exactly where it should be. Are you using a router?

If you have two computers in the same network, sharing the same internet connection, than there are chances you have a router.

I got it fixed...the firewall I was using was blocking it.
