It's the same as Bob Holly. They pushed him down our throats, just like Bradshaw. Out of the blue, they are supposed to be credible..even if they were fighting on Velocity for the last year against Funaki."Look at me,I can clothesline real rough!" and Vince will take notice. I don't Edge for that reason but at least he has something to him and may have a reason to main event. But Bradshaw now with bad heat and a gimmick pushed all the way to hell in the span of an hour.. as champ? Any reason why the ratings are going down? I thought not.

I didn't see the show, I was just reading the reults.
I dont think Bradshaw is a good choice to be WWE Champion, I think this was a combination of wanting to shake things up a little and also Vince's desire for controversy, which he accomplishes by putting the title on JBL after getting fired from CNBC. However, for what people expect out of main events these days, I dont think Bradshaw is a wise choice for champ, unless its just a switch for the sake of a switch. However I dont see Bradshaw ever getting over in a match unless he's being carried by someone like Eddie.
I will say this though, this was the most eventful PPV the WWE has put on since Mania with Bradhsaw getting the strap and Taker "killing" Bearer.

Eh, don't mind Bradshaw as champ. He is a very good heel right now and can have good matches with the right opponent.
My problem is that he doesn't look very credible. Had he just had a couple of fueds with midcarders and such before entering the world title scene that would be different. But the guy went from jobber tag team to main event heel in one week, it just takes away credibility. Plus the finish is just lame, I would've rather he get a win without a reversed decision. Or atleast continue the match and let him win clean.
I'm thinking he jobs the title on Smackdown in two weeks to Eddie (so that there is time to build a match up) or this week to the Undertaker.
wow, all i can say is... wow

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH MY! I honestly can't believe it. I don't hate JBL, but I really didn't want to see him become champion. All of you can say what you want, but he won the match. I thought Eddie did hit at first, but replay shows that JBL hit first, so realisticly, the right call was made. But either way, I hope this doesn't last very long. I would've much rather seen Benoit lose the title than Eddie.
Something else I thought was big was that RVD slipped. He was going up the ropes and fell, before going back up again. I was real shocked to see that.
The Taker match really wasn't anything special. Looked like a regular TV main event at first. A little surprised to see what happened to Paul Bearer, but not too much since I heard Bearer was gonna be leaving.
Anyways, the reason I feel JBL is credible is because we were all getting sick of Acolyte Bradshaw, Justin Hawk Bradshaw, Blackjack Bradshaw, APA Bradshaw, Gay Cowboy Bradshaw, and just about every character that he was in his stint. He proved himself good on the mike since becoming the character, and he proved all of us wrong at Judgement Day. He did have a good match. I can only see him holding the champion until next week on Smackdown.
That doesn't make any sense at all.
You say that Bradshaw has had nothing but shitty gimmicks his entire career, but now his gimmick is only half as shitty, and he had ONE good match (against a guy who could probably wrestle a penguin and make it entertaining), so all of a sudden he's deserving of the WWE Championship?
Bradshaw is an asshole, first of all. The idiotic things he says about internet wrestling fans proves that he is an asshole (i.e. "you've probably never even kissed a girl, you fat, lazy, unathletic geeks").
Bradshaw is not good on the mic. Just because he can insult Mexicans and ramble off redneck insults doesn't make him good on the mic.
Bradshaw is not a good worker. He's fat, slow, unimaginative with his offense (his god damn finish is a clothesline), doesn't sell very well, and simply cannot put on a good main event without someone carrying him all the way. Why do you think he's been in a tag team for most of his career?
Bradshaw does not deserve the WWE Title. Eddie Guerrero was doing a perfectly fine job as champion, and was really one of the only things bringing any credibility to the Smackdown brand. Sure, maybe now they can do a title-chase angle with Bradshaw and Eddie, but it won't be entertaining. And why?
Well, re-read my post, jackass.

Well, hell, they might as well reinstate X-Pac on RAW and give him the belt. It wouldn't hurt...

I've said this before, but Bradshaw might be a blessing in disguise. Now he's got the title, he could drop it to The Undertaker, who then goes into a MASSIVE feud with Eddie Guerrero. Eddie pursues the title a.l.a. Stone Cold. He eventually wins the title at a big PPV, moves onto a feud with someone else, then in comes Mordecai with Paul Bearer to feud with Taker. Either that or Eddie doesn't win the title, and Taker feuds with Mordecai for it.

Good god this is completely unnaceptable..
Id rather see Triple H hog every damn belt then Bradshaw win the WWE Title.
I think we have a new worst WWE champion ever.

give him a chance... anyway you know Eddie and him will have a rematch at the next PPV then Eddie will win it back.
Now that Bradshaw is champion, I think Undertaker did Paul Bearer a favour.

FFS Bradshaws got some amazing heel heat at the moment, theres been a face champ since Lesnar got screwed by Goldberg. Let them change it up. It's happened, bitching whinging and moaning isn't going to go back and fix it.
Although not a great worker, he is good on the mic and his gimmick is being played perfectly. Stop hating on him.
As I said in another thread. It's not like he's going to be champion for ever.
If Eddie was to win the belt back from Bradshaw it makes him more credible for beating the guy who beat him.
If Eddie was to come out this week on a psychopathic rampage beating the shit out of anything that moved, And eventually locked Bradshaw in an El Paso in the middle of the ring. Needing like 50 refs and security staff and shit to get him to break the hold. Latino Heat at its best.
You would all mark out like fuck and be happy for this title change.
That is all.

I think at one point, I joked saying that "knowing how Vince McMahon operates, they'll probably give JBL a World Title Run for the Nazi Salute."
I'm sorry. I'm really, really, really, really, REALLY sorry. It was a joke, I swear.

This is BS. I really can't fucking believe this!!!! UGH! WTF!!!! Of all the things WWE has done recently, this is by far the worse. I mean... THEY BURRIED HIM IN CEMENT! What the hell!?!?!
On a side note, JBL will become the greatest WWE champion ever.

Just wondering, all the people who said Guerrero would retain his title at The Bash... do you people even know how the wrestling business works? Duh! The amount of heat JBL has at this time just guarantees him the title. If the fans barely reacted to his actions then Eddie would still be champ, but JBL is the man everybody loves to hate, his heel charatcer has worked so well, it would have been wrong to not give him the title after so much crowd reaction.

Plus, now WWE can appeal to the often-misrepresented Nazi bully fanbase by giving them a champion of their own
