View Full Version : Seriously, was that a rib?

WORST PPV EVER! Been watching WWE PPV since 1989 and only ever missed one (Badd Blood with Nash vs. HHH HIAC) and the Great American Bash was just shockingly awful. They managed to find out what every long time fan wants in their wrestling product and produce an exact opposite of it. Pure garbage. Surely they did it just to rib the net fans or just to piss on WCW some more. I mean, surely they had a reason for that train wreck because they have to think they can do better than that right?

Right?

Right?

Oh sorry, I'm talking to myself because anyone else who saw that show has probably severed all ties with World Wrestling Entertainment now.

Now tell me Vince McMahon is a creative genius.

Apparently WWe are adopting the Kurt Angle slogan of 'It's True, It's True' that you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet.
It appears that Vince and Steph found a site somewhere full of good ideas for wrestling stories, and Vince thinking that they weren't what the fans wanted, promptly went and done the opposite.

Either that or Steph can't write for shit?

I beleive and again this is my personal opionon that the best match, and the match that saved the PPV from being complete crap was Chavo versus Mysterio.

Ditto, great macth but i agree complete shit, but at least i did'nt have to pay for all of it...

I didn't pay for it and I feel robbed. 15 years of watching WWE and 20 of pro wrestling all together feels absolutely wasted right now.

Well he didn't even watch the show. Maybe he is a genius!

I can't wait for BTR this week. They're just going to trash that show I bet. Seriously though, when the Dudley Boys are in a main event, something isn't right at all. Never mind the whole World TITLE THING.

You listened last week? Whomever did the Bischoff Impression made me really laugh. It was perfect.

As I noted earlier, I think Undertaker did Paul Bearer a favour. Between being drowned in cement and being forced to watch GAB again... and again and again, until he died as a result, I think he got the humane choice. I think they might have slid some pyro in front of him during the cruiserweight match too, I don't know.

I tell you what, if they can pull something awesome out of this particular bag and make something of anything last night, Vince really is a genius.

I'd feign illness to avoid the GAB too.

Probably was a afraid there'd be a riot when Bradshaw the Mad won the Title.

From the TPWW mainpage... and from some other site too I'm guessing

As previously reported, Vince McMahon wasn’t at the Great American Bash PPV due to an internal infection. Those backstage were joking, however, that McMahon missed the PPV because he knew how bad it would be.

* Those within the company were rather vocal in how much of a “train wreck” last night’s PPV really was. While those in executive positions may say it was acceptable, the general concensus was that it was one of the worst in recent memory.

Yes the PPV was awful but it doesn't come close to WCW/NWO Souled Out '97 which will forever be the worst PPV ever, IMO.

GAB was bad but I'm not pissed about Bradshaw being champ so I can imagine how the rest of you feel.

While the individuals have not yet been disclosed, expect to discover who they are in the WWE's next list of "departure" announcements.

However, as it tickled Vince's fancy, expect all PPVs to be of this quality.

Only thing I can think of is Byte This Radio, but I'm not sure a WWE show would trash itself.

I'm glad i decided to watch highlights of Glastonbury 2004 instead of paying £15 (it was Sky Box Office in the UK right?) for what sounded to be a steaming heap of crap.

Still can't believe Bradshaw went over Eddie...this is how the WWE "reprimand" an ignorant fuck like JBL?!?

Yes. Because if you get drunk and mess with drugs, thus harming yourself physically, you have to get fired, or what kind of example is Vince setting for the boys? But if you imitate Nazis and offend an entire nation, you get the WWE belt.

Yeah because my comment was such a dead give away that I enjoyed BRADSHAW beating one of my FAVORITE wrestlers for the WWE WORLD TITLE.

Get a grip on yourself Kane Knight.

Oh, you said wrestler. Must be Triple H.

don't worry, Scot. You can always die and come back another time if the heat from your pussy trolling gets to be too much for you.

And he squashed HHH in 1:44! No one, no one can beat that.

Just hope that Bradshaw botches his title defence on Smackdown and loses it to some unfortunate guy... :-\

If you have black background then highlight to read. if you don't then I'm sorry.

If you mean Spike Dudley then you are mistaken.
