View Full Version : BROCK LESNAR: PRO DICKHEAD

Taken from EPSN.com; a great read on Lesnar's thoughts.
MINNEAPOLIS - The cute and curvy blonde 20-something had
no idea what she was getting herself into. In her barely-there
halter-top & her glossy red lipstick, she slithered into the giant's
arms, set her chin on his chest, looked up into his eyes -- and
delivered the message she had been sent to ask.
"My friend Shawn thinks you're kinda cute," she said.
Not Shawna. Not Shana.
Shawn.
The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Goliath, the guy who benches 475
pounds, squats 695 pounds, steamed. "Yeah?" the former pro
wrestler said, his voice growing louder, his eyes getting bigger.
"Well you tell that ..."
To print what Brock Lesnar said might make even John Rocker
blush. But after his curse-laden outburst, he turned to a nearby
reporter and explained, "I don't like gays. Write that down in
your little notebook. I don't like gays."
Offended? Too bad. He doesn't care what you think. What
your mom thinks. Or what that guy at the end of the bar
thinks, his sexual orientation not withstanding. Lesnar is a
self-described "blue-collar redneck" who owns a 47-acre
ranch and spends his free time jumping up and down on beds
- sometimes breaking them - with his 2-year-old daughter,Mya.
If he could choose only three television channels to watch, it'd
be a 24-hour hunting and fishing network, The Weather Channel
and The Penthouse Channel. "I'd be a happy man," he said.
Instead, he's his own man. A man who loves contact. Aggression.
And people telling him he can't do something.
The rest of the article can be read here: http://www.pwbts.com/messages/9273.htm
LOL, is this how bad his career has gotten? He has to resort to cheap stunts like this for publicity?
I hope he does not make it in the NFL, he comes back to WWE, and the fans still chant "YOU SOLD OUT".

LOL, this is hilarious.
Yeah. Brock would be the biggest heel in WWE since... HHH if that happened.
It's kinda funny, of all the wrestlers I've heard do this, The Rock isn't on the list. And he actually used to go and call HHH "half-queer" and "part gay" back in the good ol' Nation and Corporation days...

Just read the entire article and I don't think he's a dick at all.
Good on him.
He's decided what he wants to do, and is going after it with both hands.
He's getting plenty praise mixed with practicality, but someone is gonna take a chance on him, and he's got all the ingredients there to do it!
Good luck Brock, and if it doesn't work out, we'll see you in the Royal Rumble!

I can't understand why everyone turned on him when he left. He did his job, gave notice, and pursued his dream. But because he didn't have a passion for what you have a passion for, he's a dick and he turned on you.
That being said, he's a dick for what he said, but everyone has their beliefs. At least he's not afraid to announce them despite possible reprocutions.
Good luck to you in the future Brock.
The guy is just a little weird, I'm sure he meant well.
Note to self, never tell Lesnar that wrestling is for gays.

I don't think he's a dick because he left the WWE. I think he's a dick because he said that he regretted even going to the WWE in the first place, and that he should have gone straight to the NFL instead. Plus with this new comment about gays, he is acting like an arrogant asshole. He should realize that the reason anyone even cares about him is due to the company that made him, the WWE, and should not regret going to a company where he became a star.
Maybe he would have become an NFL legend if he was never in the WWE, but we will never know that. I wish him luck in his NFL quest, and I really like his wrestling ability, but I dislike the comments he has said as of late.

Why is he a dick for regretting going? Maybe he wanted to make some money to support himself in case what he wanted didn't come through. Can't blame him for wanting some stability.

I will agree his comment was out of line, I don't agree with him. BUT I do respect him for not being afraid to express his views.

Other than the fact that to me,he's a bland wrestler with no
more talent than anyone else on the roster (and a HORRIBLE
actor as well) - I completely agree with the post :y:
WWE fed him, and he bit their hand; for that I hope that he
will not return to wrestling there - but with Vince attempting
to scoop up whomever is still alive - surely if Lesnar is willing
to come back at some point, Vince will be there to take him.
Maybe he can bring him back as Saba Simba Jr. :shifty:

I think it is very unprofessional to state on record that you should not have stayed with a company that gave you a great chance to showcase your skill, make a very good paycheck, and gain a lot of exposure around the world. I think that he may even have a bit of an edge to make the NFL after getting such recognition thanks to Vince and the WWE, and he should even moreso not be downplaying his stay in the WWE.
That, combined with his gay comments, is mainly why I think he's an asshole.

Vince will obviously sign Brock back. He'll have some fake idea in his mind that Brock would be able to save the WWE from the ratings downfall that has been going on for the last 2 years. And it'll probably be 3 by the time Brock realizes the NFL is rougher than pro wrestling and come crawling back.

WWE fed him, and he bit their hand;
Well as long as you hate Steve Austin too then, than I suppose we'll just be at a difference of opinion. However, if you hate Brock for what he did and don't hate Austin, then I'd be extremely confused.

There's a big big difference.
Austin likes wrestling - whereas Lesnar knocks the business itself.
Austin appreciates where he got his paycheck from, and the fans
who gave it to him; where Lesnar disrespects everyone who paid
his bills, and bought the bed that he jumps on with his daughter.
Austin is actually entertaining, and actually sold seats (and millions
in merchandising) and justified his paychecks, where Lesnar caught
an extremely lucky break (ala Goldberg) and didn't appreciated what
he was given - much like Goldberg.
Too much, too soon, for the wrong guy.
John Cena seems to be getting a big push (obviously) and doing
quite well (with merchandising, advertising, etc.) and he doesn't
seem to be acting like a dick to anyone -- but rather is realizing
that he's lucky, and is appreciative of his status. Lesnar took it
as if he's the best thing to hit wrestling ever, and that is as far
from the truth as you can get.

My issue with people who hate Brock because of the way he left is because Austin did the same thing, except much less professionally. And Brock entertained me :o
Anyway, I see your point and understand where you're coming from. Your points were valid, just I know people on this board in the past had problems with him, solely off the way he left.

Austin, though he went about it all wrong, had justifyable reasons to leave. His neck and the WWE booking were both going to shit. Even though he walked out, no one can say Austin didn't love wrestling. In every interview since he returned in 2003, he said it killed him not being able to wrestle.
Brock...is a totally different story. Brock was in a high profile feud and was going to move on to wrestle the Undertaker. Big deal if Taker was going to beat him, Taker jobbed in two high profile feuds to Brock (cleanly in the Hell in a Cell). Brock had everything in the wrestling world handed to him, while Austin had to earn it for over 8 years before he won the title. Brock turned his back against wrestling, and has been bad mouthing it ever since.

Which it would have been. Brock's character couldn't have survived being maimed by Taker, and there was no logical reason to have Taker go over him. Who cares if it was all handed to Brock, wasn't his call, he just accepted it. Not his fault.

Besides, I also respect Brock for leaving something he didn't have a passion for, and taking a huge pay cut (from multi millions to hundred thousands) to pursue something he'd love. That's guts.

Lesnar's a cock.
Is this news though?
A wrestler and football player hating gays? Wow. let me call CNN.
I find it funny that he considers himself blue collar. His work ethic is pretty weak for a blue collar "redneck."

I didn't post it so much for the gay hating - just the overall stupidity
of his comments; like how he'd "pick a fight with everyone",and such.
If he does come back,he better not hope for a push by Pat Patterson.

Dear Mr. Lesnar,
The other day, I heard John Layfield talking to his friends about how your are a real stud muffin, and that he'd like to put you in his portfolio (if you know what he means) anyday. You might remember Layfield. He's the guy who likes to pull certain shower pranks with other male wrestlers? He also has an internet column. That right! He uses the internet! He tells things directly to the people!
Anyway, I just thought you'd like to know that John Layfield thinks you're totally hot. You can deal with this in any way you'd like.
Sincerely,

I like how Lesnar has to assure his sexuality by mentioning he hates gays and how he has to have the Penthouse Channel. He might as well say he likes chopping down trees and punch Sable in the face in case she gets out of line to appear that he is a MAN.
But besides those ignorant comments, for something he didn't care for, he did take his time to make a decision to leave for his dream job and to then bad mouth the hell out of WWE. It sounds like he won't come back which sucks since he does have talent (though not a clue in his head at times). But still for someone to disrespect that much, especially to quit during one of the biggest matches of his career and just say " Fuck off" was just not right. Balls, but not right since Vince LOVED this kid.

Ayways, yeah, there are a few really fucked up things in that article. I'm just surprised the author is making such a spectacle out of his homophobia. Like he's the first or only gay hater in the world.

I don't know how any WWE fans can respect Lesnar, Its nothing new for someone not being afraid to express there views so he doesn't earn respect for me, it depends on what he says. And to go dissing the company that made you a star in the first place is not very respectable. He probably wouldn't even been given a chance in the NFL if it wont for WWE, so how can you respect that? You tell me.
I like Lesnar.
Sure, his comments were :nono: material, and he left WWE unexpectedly, but he was pretty good in the ring. It's pretty sad, because his mic work had improved quite a bit then, and he fit the bill of a hoss perfectly.
Just wish him good luck in what he does, and hope he comes back to wrestling.

I liked Lesnar. He was a good wrestler who had improving mic skills. But some of his bashing of the company that made him the star that he is has just been stupid and. I respect the way that he left to go and pursue his dream but having a go at the WWE after all they did for him makes him seem like an ungrateful asshole.

Fear's not a factor, it's tolarance. Will they tolarate you and will you tolarate their reaction? You can't possibly be afraid of ones words if you're bold enough to say yours. True enough, if you're too afraid to hear ones reaction to your true feelings, you don't desearve to be heard in the first place.
Oh yeah, Brock is an ass for lashing out on the company that made him. Funny how wrestlers keep their oppinions to themselves until after they left the company and the paychecks. If it was that bad, you should've left long ago; or maybe he left at the right time, I don't care. I think it's funny how everyone involved in that WM20 match aren't in the WWE right now. I'd atleast wait for a good match to leave, but it's not always the case I guess.
