This guy recorded basslines and added them to the original ...And Justice For All tracks. In my opinion, it sounds 400 times better with bass. The Shortest Straw is as heavy as it should've been. I deleted my old ...AJFA mp3s and replaced them with these. :y:

Tell me what you think.

I'll try it later. I don't feel like downloading more files right now...

You know what'd be really cool though? a drummer adding some quality drumwork to the songs...

It'd be cool if metallica remastered their early albums.

From Black album on I couldn't give a shit though.

Didn't Jason (Crash Bang) Newstead play bass on that album??

:wtf:

Not too much of a difference.

The bass is just in sync with the guitars. Nothing special.

It's pretty seamless, too. It feels like it ACTUALLY fits.

I mean, this isn't the hardest album to dub shit to, I'd wager. Between the clichés of the album and over a decade for people to break it down, it wouldn't take a genius to work with it.

Anyways, our ears are drawn by the bottom (generally). A strong bass line improves almost any music, moreso with metal.

I just think it's pretty stupid for a band to leave bass off of their album just because they were pissed. Bass would've [and this thread proves it] made the album much better. The Shortest Straw is now on my playlist of thrash songs because of the bass.

I don't know the whole story behind the lack of bass. Fill me in, sailor? ;)

That's all? I guess I did know the whole story.

Seems pretty stupid, seems pretty petty.

Sounds very Metallica. A tale of egos and fanatics. :(
