Just read the news info about it on the main site.

Don't know what else to say, I remember playing the first one and didn't think much of it.

From what I've heard it isn't going to be a great game, Ptobably worth waiting for Smackdown! vs Raw

They make it sound quite good in the article but I just keep on remembering how bad the first one was ;shudders:

Speaking of smackdown! vs Raw can't wait for a reason to use the multitap thingy I just bought on EBay

If you're talking about Showdown, it's got some pretty bad reviews. Take it for what it's worth. I played the first one and hated it so I don't think I'm going to try this one.

LOW2 was a good game, I bought it awhile back. But aparantly Showndown is a step down from LOW2, but just because someones review says its bad, doesn't mean you'll find it the same way. This happened to me with Driv3r. It got shitty reviews but I'm currently loving the game.

I've got Showdown on pre-order. The roster is so impressive on this game, and I'm going through a nostalgic period of wrestling so I'm getting it to satisfy that.

Rent it first, or buy it and take it back if you dont like it.

Showdown got worse that LOW2, and I didn't think that was possible. They've tried to make the grappling like WWF No Mercy but the game sucks beyond belif.

Although having Sting, Hogan and Curt Henning all beat on the Ultimate Warrior is damn fun :D

Agreed. I also have LOW 2 nd am looking forward to Showdown. Bobby Heenan commentary, Sting, Hennig... what more do you want <small>(besides what you already complained about :shifty: )</small>?

It's not that I'm basing the game off the reviews, I just disliked the first one and I believe I played the second but I don't fully remember it. I just don't like the whole series is all. These are reviews that I, majority of the time, agree with. Maybe it would suprise me but I don't plan on playing it.

I rented it and I thought it was pretty good. I had a great cage match with Bret and Owen Hart. It's way better than the first LOW.

For me, it's a must buy.

I rented it today for Xbox. I only played 2 matches so far but it's not that bad. I like it better then Raw 2 so far. I will post more after I play it for a bit

It's great if you don't mind shitty gameplay and massive glitches.

lol I'm actually really into this game at the moment. Seen afew funny glitches like piledrivers not exactly working properly and commentary fucking up once, but apart from that I'm really enjoying it.

Like the idea of the classic matches, although you dont get anything once you've done the Hogan/Andre one, which is abit of a gay thing really.

LOVE the tables matches, Smackdown should take note IMO

Haven't done battle royals yet or showdown challenge, will do them later on tonight.

Ah, I got stuck in a ladder and had to restart the game. Fuck glitches

I bought showdown mainly do to it being a wrestling game...It is the best of the 3 Im currently going through the 90's with sting. It takes some getting use to but is a decent wrestling game (being from acclaim) there are a few glitches and slows at times, especialy when there are 8 wrestlers on screen fighting at once. Commentary isnt bad except in season it gets kinda repeatitive. The reveiw I saw gave it a 6 (fair). So if your a huge fan of wrestling games its recommended.

I think it's a Tony Schivanne impersonator. He doesn't get excited enough

lol wtf is up with Showdown challange?

Its a nice idea, but it doesn't last very long. Wrestlers have more than five matches in 10 years Acclaim. Also HOW THE FUCK DO YOU TAG!?

I kept jobbing to Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine and Eric whatshisface because of this  beat them in the end though, thanks to a ref bump/chair shot. HOW DO YOU TAG!?

Noticed a printing error on the back of the box. It says that Tony Schivanne and Jerry 'The King' Lawler do the commentating, but Lawler doesn't :o

Its great, but also sad to hear Bobby Heenan doing commentating . Great, because its Heenan, but sad because of the cancer has caused him to lose his familiar voice :(

does anyone know who or what you unlock in the game? O.o

So far, after playing for about a good 6-7 hours of Season/Classic/Tournaments, this is what I've unlocked:

- Nothing

Seriously, what the fuck is up with that?

I dont think anything is unlocked when you do anything.

Tge glitches are a major hamper but overall, I'm enjoying it. I bought it mostly for the roster and the fact that I pretty much buy every wrestling game I can.

Same here really. Although the gameplay is ok, the glitches put a huge damper on it.

Another problem is the removal of changing colours of clothing that one didn't make any sense to me, but oh well, it's not a huge deal anyways, in games like this I like to just make jobbers anyways :D.

I really dig the slow mo finishers camera though.

Haven't tried that yet actually.

You set up a table outside the ring, then thrown someone over the top rope onto it? Best thing I have ever seen.

actually had a bit of a glitch in battle royal mode, Robert Gibson just kept moving round the ring as if in a grapple with the invisible man, couldn't do shit to him the whole match til they finally had him grab someone
