Unknown drivers eh. I'd try getting the latest drivers from the website and check out the website for any customer help/support!

Nah, it's an outdated card.

I was giving it to someone because their computer didnt have sound and I figured it might work but it just doesnt want to. :/

Make sure it isn't being recognized as another card or it didn't install two drivers for the same card. Also, I'm sure you could find some updated WDM drivers for the card, even if it is old. There are uber-nerds out there that will do anything to keep using their old hardware.

Search google for the name of the card with "driver" on the end. There are a lot of sites that have a list of drivers for outdated PCI cards.

Could you help me with the search bit? I wouldnt know where to start.

It's just a generic Creative Live Value card. Shitty card that comes out of gateway.

Are you on XP?

Here is the driver for XP: XP Driver (http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/download2.asp?centric=4856&dlcentric=1925&ProductName=Sound+Blaster+Live!+Value&OS=10&OSName=Windows+XP)

If that's not what you're using just tell me or you can get it here: Here (http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/)

In the first field put "Sound Blaster". In the second put "16-bit". In the third put :Sound Blaster Live! Value". Good luck.

Thanks man.

BTW, I was finally able to make it work.

I just took advantage of the fact that it was a Gateway PC and went and got the drivers off their website.
