I recommend pretty much anything by Matthew Good. If you want some songs, let me know.

I'm offended that you'd even SUGGEST the Heads. Especially considering the mentions I've made of 'em on here from time to time, and the fact that they're a BOSTON band!.
I tried getting Therapy? (No pun intended) before, and never found any. It prolly was slothwood that recced 'em to me. Fly recced me Mogwai, but I don't think I ever checked 'em. And the other guy, I've never heard of. I'll get on 'em.

Troublegum would probably be your best bet, followed by suicide pact: you first.
also, check out infectious grooves and turbonegro, if I haven't hooked you up with either already.

The newest one (High Anxiety) is also rather good.
And I second Mogwai. :p

Saffwud for Therapy?, Baird for Mogwai stuff.
John Frusciante is the Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist, but his solo stuff is completely different from Chili's style.
There's a full free album plus some demos and stuff from his new album. http://www.johnfrusciante.com, click "Demos".
May as well start there, and see if you like it.
