It seems to me that almost every wrestler has a move in his arsenal thats sole purpose is to be reversed. One that comes to mind is Bubba Ray Dudley doing that jumping back drop of the turnbuckle that never hits, and always causes him an enormous amount of pain, but he keeps doing it anyways. Any others?

First one that pops into my head is Flair going to the top rope. He always goes to the top yet he only gets thrown off.

The Diamond Cutter, when he actually signals for it.
Whenever Matt Hardy signals for the Twist of Fate these days, it's usually reversed. Not that he ever wrestles on Raw anyways :nono:

The funny thing about Flair and the top turnbuckle is he beat Harley Race with a cross body block. I, to this day, think that's hilarious.

The writers seem to miss good storylines. That's like botching three months of moves.

I second this.

I was thinking about Jerichos Lion Sault. He can do it 10 times and only land it once. The other times the guy rolls out of the way and Jericho flips to his feet.

A variation on the aforementioned Ric Flair turnbuckle thing is when Flair used to run on the mat apron after getting thrown into the corner and flipping back over the turnbuckle.
He ALWAYS ended up just getting clotheslined while doing that.

Not to take anything away from you, man. But I disagree wqith some of those options. The Alabama Slam only doesn't hit if Hardcore's in a match with a bigger name higher up on the roster. The Sweet Chin music doesn't hit when there's still more to left in the match. The Stink Face hits quite a bit. The Shooting Star Press usually hits if the wrestler performing it is going to win the match. The RKO is shady. I'd probably agree with that anology of it. The 3D hits heaps. The Angle Slam gets coutered a lot, but it hits heaps too. :y:

I can'y beleive nobody has mentioned the Dudley Dawg (or however you spell that.) Even on the few occasions when Spike DOES hit it, it's usually during a tag match and he usually gets booted out of the ring a second later.
