The weekend shows in Canada did poorly in numbers. WWE decided to head north of the border in hopes to generate good business there since it was 4th of July weekend in the U.S. Assuming that the U.S. fans would be busy with the 4th they went to Canada.
Yesterday’s SmackDown show in Kneora, Ontario drew less than 1,000 in attendance, including comps. When you combine expenses, the profits afterward aren’t much of a payoff for most of the talent.
The 7/4 show in Sudbury did about 2,500 and Regina, Saskatchewan drew about 1,200 paid in attendance.
RVD, Booker T and Nunzio were late for the show in Kenora due to the long commute. They were not fined.
Eddie Guerrero injured his hamstring over the weekend, in addition to the long list of injuries he has now, he continues to work through them all.
