I used to watch it ages ago, I can't remember any episodes but I do remember the zombie dude saying "he should have quit while he was still a head, muhahhaha" :D

Some of those actors/actresses are pretty good.

i watched it.. my favorite one was with the escaped lunatic that was dressed up as santa.. and he stalked the one bitch that just butcherd her husband/boyfriend, and after she did that her daughter came running down and said she just saw santa and told her mom to come here and when she went up stairs the dude on the radio was like... " someone has just escaped from the insane asylum and is dressed as santa.." cut the story short.. she got axed...

Was it Tales from the Crypt where Bill Hickey paid this young dude for his body parts?

See that's what's so awesome about Tales...

Every episode was completely standalone, like a movie. And it wasn't HORRIBLY OBVIOUS like new twilight zone/outer limits stuff.

Joe Pesci getting sliced in half= :y:

One I can remember was the one about where they advertised for a part in a play in an odd building. I forget what the play was but the character had turned out to be of a skull , and the people who were there had taken over a mental hospital.

And in the movie DemonKnight , the Billy Zane character ruleddd.

BTW, i used to love that show but I never had HBO for a long period of time. I remember seeing the Ed Begley Jr. one like 3 times though. Seems like everytime I watched a rerun, that was the one on.

Arnold Schwartzeneger was also in an episode.
He directed one and was with the Crypt Keeper in the beginning, but wasn't in an actual episode. Yeah, forgot to include him, and John Lovitz too.

Favorite episode of all was the drag race one with Brad Pitt. Second favorite was the one about the old puppeteer who's wife was cheating on him. Tales From the Crypt had a Saturday morning cartoon show too a long time ago on ABC.

Bootlegged version, huh? Does that mean there is going to be an official set released soon? Because if so, I'll save my money to get it.

My favorite episode was the one with the girl who lives upstairs with the mask on, and that short fat lady from Poltergeist was in it. That episode gave me nightmares for weeks! It still does whenever I start to think of it!

I got all 7 seasons of the legit DVDs now. Glad they released them.

There are so many bad episodes to go along with the good ones, ha. Half of them had a plot where someone killed somebody, then at the end the dead person just came back to life and killed them back. Made me angry when those episodes were on.

Diesel Mac, this thread is more original then you're thread. 2004 baby.

But yeah, need to catch up on my dvds of it. My favorite episode is probably with Don Rickles who is the ventriloquist. But really he is a conjoined twin or something and his hand is really a head. And the head can like detach from Rickles somehow and go kill people.

Also some douche was like following Rickles around cause he thought he was the greatest ventriloquist ever and wanted to learn from him. Guy was mad corny.

OMG I just watched Season 2 which had the Rickles episode. The guy following him around was none other than Bobcat Goldthwait. Hot stuff. The season also featured Demi Moore marrying Jeffrey Tambor (in a fat suit) and a black funeral director who killed his nephew because he couldn't work anymore and sawed off his legs because the casket was too small and then the ghost came back with no feet. Great stuff, love the classic HBO 80's feel.
