I was at Mania live.
Now WHY was the Ironman your favorite? Wasn't it a bit slow?
If I liked everything fast, I'd be in love with spot fest crusierweights.

Mania was the best, IMO.
Summerslam was pretty good, but I wasn't feeling the build up too much.
The Iron Man Match was death.

WM was the best. Because they had such a huge build-up. If only Brock hit the SSP cause if he did it would have been match of the century :y:

yeah? some guy did try that when i was on my way back to the hotel, but i was having none of it
Summerslam was my favourite match they had. I rember when Vince interfered and Kurt set up the chair in the middle of the ring and gave Vince the Angle slamm through the chair.

At Mania, as he was going off the top rope, it felt awkward. I knew he was going to fuck up. Then he did. I see dead people...

If he'd've landed the SSP, Brock would be the hugest wrestling star in the world, and IMO WWE would be in a much better place right now
I'd say Mania was best... Didnt see the Summerslam match... Iron Man was okay...
I would say Mania. THe SS match was alright and I didn't see the Iron Man match. If Brock hadn't messed up the SSP it would have been one of the best matches ever but unfortunately it will probably be remembered by most for that SSP.

The Mania match was the best for sure
Smackdown Ironman match : Kinda :-\ material. (2 1/2 stars out of 5)
Summerslam match: Could have been good, but overshadowed by Elimination Chamber, Kane vs RVD (3 out of 5)
Mania XIX: By far best. Rivalry-ending match, great build-up, moments. Also worth mentioning that it was main-eventing at a Wrestlemania event, which reflects its stature. (4 out of 5)

Can someone tell me about the buildup for Brock/Angle leading up to Wrestlemania? I was on vacation for most of the winter/early spring.

Basically Heyman screwed Brock over at Survivor Series and aligned with the Big Show. The next month it was Big Show v Kurt for the WWE title and Kurt asked for Brocks back if Heyman and his other guy (A-train I think) interfered. Anyway Brock helped Kurt win and the next Smackdown Kurt was making out he would defend it against Brock the next week, but Stephanie knew otherwise so forced Kurt to reveal what was going on or she would. So Kurt went out to the ring and announced Heyman was his new manager and that Brock was not getting a title shot!
Heyman then brought in Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin as Team Angle to watch Kurts back, but Brock won the rumble anyway setting up Brock v Kurt at WM. I think they thought Kurt's neck was too busted and he would have to miss the match as they set up an angle where by going through Team Angle (and Heyman who was being written out for a few months, not sure why) Brock got a WWE title shot on Smackdown, with the intention of him winning the belt and defending against someone like Benoit. However Kurt must have said he was good to go as when the match started he switched his brother Eric, leading to him being able to roll brock up for the 3 while his brother had been pounded. Because of this stunt Stephanie said that if he got DQ'd or counted out at Mania then he lost the belt too. Then they had the match.
I think thats basically it, may have missed a couple of bits out, but I think thats how I remember it!
