The Yankees are stacked, plain and simple. They are my pick for the champs. Who are yours?

Yankees have been stacked the last 3 years and still weren't the best team. Cardinals over A's in 6.

I reckon Yanks/White Sox ALCS, Yanks in 5.

Cards/Cubs NLCS, Cards in 6.

Yanks/Cards WS, Yanks in 6.

The obvious decision right now is the Yankees, only because they are the only team tht will for sure be in the playoffs. When its all said and done they will be upset again.

If you think they're stacked this year, what'd you consider them in 1998 when they went 114-48?

They're far from that good. Personally I think they are the weakest they've been in a couple years.

Oh yeah, I don't see the Cardinals taking it this year. They might be at the top now, but I see them faltering in the first round of the playoffs or thereabouts.

No idea who's taking it this year. It's going to be up for grabs for most of the season.

I don't think the Yankee's are going to have what it takes to even make the World Series. They will for sure make the playoffs, but their pitching is going to kill them. They need a lefty.

I'll go with the Yankees, but not just cause they're my favorite team. But if they win its going to depend on their pitching. If they get Randy Johnson then they'd be my pick for sure.

at the moment it looks like no one can compete with the Yankees, but stranger things have happened (last year)

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Texas Rangers come out of the AL or the Oakland A's. Red Sox? The fans always go nutz, I go to school with them and they annoy me. But the Sox have a chance.

NL: St. Louis is the early favorite. But the trade deadline is coming fast and there are a lot of teams who can jump ahead with a timely trade. The teams that come to mind are all 4 in the NL East. ATL is thinking about Andruw for Mags, Fish need help, NYM needs defense and a big bat and my PHILLIES who need a SP, CF and RP. Benson, Zito, Finley are being looked at. The Padres have an opportunity to break out if they get Finley. Dodgers, Giants are still in the race.

So its still anybody's ballgame (not pun intended)

All I know is that the Phils need Zito and I want to get Carl Crawford from TB to play CF. Intense.
