It did well enough for his movies. He has said that JSBSB would be the final installment with those two characters, although I have a hard time believing this. I'm sure he'll do another movie with them. He is still working on the Clerks cartoon feature film but he has a few projects to do before that so who knows when, if ever that will come out.

Clerks was good but I dont know if it would be good as a cartoon?

It was a cartoon TV show back in 2000. Only aired for two episodes, OUT OF ORDER episodes, and a timeslot where it was doomed to fail. Stupid ABC.

I personally thought it was hilarious and know many others who loved it. Some don't think it's funny because the humor had to be toned down for network tv. I think it still works, some don't. Oh well.

It's out on DVD. Check it out.

Are jay and silent bob in it and they had to tone it down for cussing then I dont think they would be able to say very much.

I'm sure you could. Yeah they are in it. They're still pretty funny with what they are given to work with.

What Kevin Smith said about Jay And Silent Bob Strike back is true (unfortunately). In fact everyone character in his films (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, J&SB Strike Back) made their last appearance in Strike Back, God then closed the book on the View Askewniverse after the credits :'( , but the animated movie is still coming out some day :D

BTW best episode ever on the Clerks Cartoons is the Baseball team episode :y: But they're all great and definately worth the DVD, the director's commentary is funny as hell. Anyone here hear the commentary?

Well if Jersey Girl is anything to go by, Smith really should make more Jay and Silent Bob films

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is one of the biggest peices of shit I have ever seen, I bought it for £10 on DVD coz I heard alot of people on here and in real life go on about it, and I thought it was just fucking shit. RBF loved it so I told him if I ever meet him in real life I'd give it to him for free, one of the worst movies ever.

I thought Jersey Girl was good, but not really that funny.

Still, me and my brother were the only people in the screen, which was awesome.

Kevin Smith films are the most overrated pieces of shit I've ever had the misfortune of watching.

Probably not, but I want to send across how shite Kevin Smith films are for all the hype they get from gay internet people.

After Jersey Girl, I wouldn't be srprised if he came running back to the series.

Yeah that's a great episode. And the commentaries are friggin hilarious.

I personally think his quality of movies goes in order of which they were made. Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, JSBSB. I have yet to see Jersey Girl

I thought Jersey Girl was a decent movie. Nothing great, but a pretty good movie. It wasn't meant to be a comedy. It was a little cutesy for Smith though, I must admit. I guess he's showing he has range or something.

The Clerks Cartoon is the shit. The best episode is the slip and fall court case one with NBA players as the jury. I saw someone looking for it on Ebay... you can buy it in pretty much any DVD place for like 10 dollars new nowadays.

Best to worst:
Clerks
Dogma
Chasing Amy
Mallrats
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Jersey Girl

The first 5 all rule. There was a time where Mallrats was number 1 for me, ditto for Dogma. I don't know, the list fluctuates constantly, though Clerks is usually my favorite Smith film.

Jersey Girl was great. I liked it a lot.

The Clerks cartoon is fucking awful though.

Never really got why people thought Chasing Amy is so good, the only thing I liked about it was Jason Lees character.

Just a quick note.

The Clerks cartoon film project, wasn't that scrapped?

It was announced at the end of Dogma (Clerks 2--Hardly Clerkin'), but J&SB came out instead. I thought I remembered Smith saying that he dumped the one project for the other.

I'm not sure. I keep reading in interviews that he at least wants to make it happen. So who knows.
