Some ppl hate some ppl like him I dont realy get it. I know that he should have just dropped the belt to HBK. That is another thread another time. What did Rick say to piss him off. Did he realy have a stroke. Why does every body hate him. Did he every patch things up with vince. What was the promble in wcw. I new he was out for awile when owen passed and I think he was horible missed you used there but he did not have a horribe time there.

I'm going to answer some of these the best I can, in order

Ric Flair, I'm assuming you mean. Said that Bret used Owen to fuel his rant on Montreal or something that affect. Saying he was more upset seemingly (outspoken) than the death of his brother. I can't really say for sure what he said being that I haven't read the book, but that's the gist from the best I can tell.<O:p</O:p

Yes, he really did have a stroke.<O:p</O:p

<O:p</O:p
Most people don't hate him, most idolize him actually. Some do however disagree with his ways (or supposed ego), and some think he's over rated. HOWEVER, in spite of what they say he is one of the top two workers, maybe even the best ever.<O:p</O:p

<O:p</O:p
Yes, he supposedly patched things up with Vince, although I doubt that relationship will ever be the same again, especially with Vince not giving him the rights to his video library.<O:p</O:p

<O:p</O:p
The problem in WCW was that they shitted on his character, that's also where he suffered his career ending injury at the hands of Goldberg (although, one more concussion would have ended his career quicker even if it weren't Goldberg from my understanding<O:p</O:p

I’d be appreciative if anyone corrected my mistakes if there are any. Also, a period doesn’t act in the same way as a question mark; you’d do well to learn that.

Ok, there is already a huge thread about this, but since nothing to crazy is going on yet, I will leave this open for the time being. Just know that I'm watching this thread.

I wish BRET would punch Shawn in the face at Mania 21.

Seriously, I respect Shawn as a wrestler, but as a professional and as a person he was a fk'n dick.

Indeed. He is long overdue for a beatdown.

Brawl For All: Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 21.

At least they would last longer than Bart Gunn :$

About Shawn, I read somewhere that he didn't want to drop the title to Austin at WM XIV. Undertaker was standing in the gorilla position during the match saying "If he doesn't drop the title, I'll drop him".

Yeah HBK needs a punch in the mouth, just like Vince got.

A fight between Bret and HBK wouldn't last long either. Bret could seriously kill HBK.

Oh, please. Five years ago, yes, but after a career-ending concussion, a serious accident, and a stroke?

This isn't saying Shawn is a better fighter because, again, five years ago, in a legit fight, Bret would have broken every bone in HBK's body, but now, no.

Bret would definitely kick Shawn's ass 5+ years ago, but as loopy mentioned, he's in no condition now to do it. Bret broke his hand punching Vince in the face, so he's definitely got the balls to kick someone's ass. I just don't see Michaels fighting with much tenacity, he seems like more of a pussy.

I think Bret did lay out Shawn once. I think it was right after Shawn said the "Sunny Days" remark. They had a fight in the lockeroom and Shawn then went and cried to Vince that he was going to quit the company.

Yeah that's pretty much the deal. I remember speaking to a wrestler who told me the whole on the spot incident (he wasn't under WWF contract then but was there) and it was hilarious.

Is it not true that Bret also once kicked zeuz's ass? Legitimately here. I've heard it from a few people, and once recalled reading it on some site.
I personally wouldn't fuck with Bret. Even now.

Isn't it true that Bret once fought a bear with his bare hands and then the bear went crying to Vince cause Bret beat him so badly, and then Bret invented the wheel?

Not like that's a HUGE accomplishment. Tiny Lister is just some chump C-list actor..even if he did look rather intimidating.

I didn't say it was a big accomplishment. Size means nothing in a fight.

I wanted to know if anyone else heard of this.

Like when Chris Jericho and Goldberg had a fight backstage about shit that happened back in WCW and Jericho out-wrestled the big goof to the ground  What i would have given to have seen that. I could see it right know, Goldberg thinking he's so big and strong, and he's going to pound the shit out of a smaller Jericho, only to get his ass handed to him

Here is my take on Bret Hart...

He is a legend beyond legend. His in ring skills could mop the floor with ANYONE elses. He is a lagit tough man who knows how to wrestle in the pro and amautre ring....as well as a bar in Texas :shifty: He is a genuine nice, caring, wonderful man...who is more polite to every single fan who has ever apporached him then any other man in the history of the business. He loves (or loved) his work. Pro Wrestling was in blood and drive in life. Unfortuatly, because of Montreal, his legacy is forever tainted. Weither you think he deserved it or not, for most people (I am not saying most here or even myself) the first thing they think of when they hear Bret Hart is Montreal. Did he patch things up with Vince...on paper yes...though I would doubt it.

The problem with WCW was this...He didn't fucking belong there. He was out of place. I don't mean that it was his fault...just something about seeing the Hitman in WCW tore at the short and curlies. He had been so loyal to the WWF, and to see him in WCW was...well...sureal. Also Bret was never properly used. I mean the one thing I remember the most about his run was his fued with DDP for the US Title. Goldberg and Hogan were too busy hoging the spolight to let this guy do his thing. Not that he needed the World Title to get over...it just...well when you see Hitman doing Grade ! main events and then thrown into Midcard area...it's rough. Anyway that is my look on it.

my take on Bret is what Foley said in his first book. Bret just became one of the guys in WCW when he was a king of kings.

Sry about doing this when alot of ppl where talkin about bret. I liked bret always. I just was confused about some ppl dissing him on other threads. I also think when he left wwf it made the wwf look weak he was the champing and then he went to mid card statis but he was used wrong there. Montreal *shrug* I see it as vince and bret were friends for a long time bret stuck with him threw thick and thin and all bret wanted to do was keep the belt I think something could have bee worked out but instead what happened happened.

I don't hate Bret Hart I just disagree with some things that he has said particularly about Montreal. I respect him as a wrestler because he was one of the greats of all time.

So...in Ultimo news, he might make a return to the WWE...I don't know why (outside of the natural answer of money) but from my understanding he can earn quite a few over in Japan...so why waste his talents in WWE...

I was just reading an article about the time Jericho manhandled Goldberg.

Poor Bret, you could argue that ever since Montreal it's been one tragedy in his life after another.
