Say you had the FULL WCW roster at the time WWE bought out WCW. Anytime after Wrestlemania X7 you could book the InVasion, how would you do it? You could include ECW if you want, but I'd keep it strictly WCW. Let's assume you had EVERYONE. Hogan, nWo, Bischoff, Goldberg, even Sting. Etc.

Basically bring all the top guys from WCW in, have them kill the top WWE guys, have Eric Bischoff swerve Shane McMahon out of WCW ownership. As part of the Invasion main event, RAW should have been on the line, WCW should have won. Then use ECW as a rouge group who maybe goes in and jumps guys on both RAW (WCW) and SD (WWE).

WCW RAW (or Nitro if they wanted to change the name) would look different, WCW style ring, graphics, set up, etc. Smackdown would look like the current day product (ie WWE style).

That accomplishes what they wanted to do with the brand extension, only now the two groups seem separate and there is a ton of heat. You could do separate WCW and WWE PPVs, and then have major heat during the mixed shows (major brawls and what not).

And it could be still going on today, with guys jumping from show to show, and using the established guys to make stars, they should have had tons of angles to do.

Its really so easy to book successfully a child or check that a monkey could od it. For some reason Vince "call me Genius" McMahon couldn't figure it out.

I think, Vince being the dipshit he is, didn't want to make WCW seem like the flagship. Meaning, he didn't want WCW to be the Monday Night show, while the WWE show would be on Smackdown. I think all Vince cared about was ruining the WCW name. A damn shame if you ask me.

WWF Nitro
WCW Raw

Yeah, Vince wouldn't have it.

This is a rhetorical question?

Okay... Umm... I agree...?

I'd keep all of the then current WCW wrestlers and change SmackDown to Thunder (with some upgraded stuff). As for the ECW talent, I'd try to cancel the Velocity and Heat shows and workout a way with Spike TV to try and use the two 1 hour time slots on just one 2 hour show on Saturday nights from 11pm - 1am, that would be the ECW show, since it would be on late at night eit could pretty much show all the stuff it showed on the old PAX or MSG networks.

Monday 9pm - 11pm --Raw
Thursay 8pm-10pm --WCW Smackdown (or an old catchphrase from one of the popular WCW wrestlers)
Saturday 11pm - 1am -- World Wrestling Extreme

But then again maybe this idea was thought of and could not be done due to the network or lack of money to pay this many superstars...

Yeah Velocity and Heat are a waste. I'd love to see them as ECW shows.

lol rhetorical question, is this some kind of test to see who's paying attention?

Holy shit.

That Triple Threat Match between Austin, Benoit, and Jericho would have ended with a Goldburg Spear to Austin instead of a Booker T axe kick. Austin would have stayed face through the Invasion. We would never have to have heard "What?"

NWO would have been a kind of an outside force, feuding with all three feds.

I can see the Sting vs. Angle matches right now.

Rhyno would have been built big as ECW's frontal man.

I think the Rock vs. Booker T, the Rock vs. Steiner, and the Rock vs. Goldburg could have been insane at the time.

Finally, there would be no brand split. In fact, there would never be one. The idea would be flushed permanantly, and the WWF would keep making money.

Oh well, it's not a rhetorical question, just answer it.

Anyway I'd have booked Sting, Steiner, Booker T, Jarrett, and Luger as the top WCW superstars mainly because there needed to be more credibility going up against The Rock, Taker, Angle, Jericho, and Austin. None of the WWE superstars would've had any involvement what so ever with WCW because it made most of WCW wasted talent. Most of the ECW guys, except for Rhyno, RVD, and Lance Storm would've made up the lower midcard on Velocity and Heat.

Stephanie would have been replaced by Bischoff (it pains me to say that). Bischoff, Shane, and Heyman merge the ultimate consolidation against WWE.

The rest of what I would do has pretty much been said by CyNick and RemyRedAssassin. I would have WCW take over one of the shows and change it to either Nitro or Thunder, and have guys from each brand constantly invade each show, including brand exclusive PPV's.

PS - I do realize that Jarret and Vince don't get along, oh well.

Best idea yet.

Sad to say it, Stephanie might have (arguably) been nice to look at, but the best GMs to date have been Heyman and Bischoff... they seemed for the most part less-than-intrusive "only coming out when necessary" GMs and not quite 100% heel. They both are entertaining on the mic. When Stephanie came out to lead ECW... well, if I were in the arena, can we say "Bash At The Beach 1996"?
