Hello there....

I would suggest getting yourself a copy of what was, in my mind, the best Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XVII (or, as it's called by the WWF, "Wrestlemania X-Seven")

Yes, I may be biased in my opinion since I was there in the Houston Astrodome at the event.... Buy it anyways! :P

Except Mania 2000, god that sucked

Mania 14 was good only because it was IMO the offical start to the attitude are as it was SCSA first run as champ.

You should get Mania 19 for all of the DAVE YOUELL moments include backstage reaction to Dave's appearance by some of the top stars in the WWE

I would sugeest Mick Foley's greatest hits

Thats not out on VHS, and I believe he's not looking for DVDs... Same goes for the Ric Flair Collection...

Anyway...

Anything old you could get would be great... If I was up to it, I'd go on a buying spree of old PPVs and videos...

SummerSlam 98 was pretty good, although I'm biased because I was there, but Austin/Taker was great... And so was the ladder match...

More recent I'd say any WrestleMania... If you have the money, get the WM Box set w/ WMs 1-13... I wanted that, but didnt have the $100 at the time...

SuvivorSeries 02 w/ the first Elimination Chamber...

The Best of Raws are pretty good (I think there are 3, I have 1&2 on DVD, but I know they're also on VHS)...

The Blood Bath Steel Cages thing is good... I dunno if it's on VHS though...

Where were you? I was there too :)

Oh and as for what tape to get...I would go with WrestleMania XIX, hell the entire card was very well put together...even McMahon and Hogan isn't terrible.

I liked Wrestlemania XIV. It had some great matchups, and that Pete Rose moment was really cool, in my opinion....

Am I stupid or something? Well..... alittle bit of both, I suppose... :)

If that had been a baseball game, I would have been right behind home plate. Section 251A, Row 12. Pretty good seats, too, I must say. How about you? Where were your seats that day?

Not only was the event great, with pretty much every match being a hit, but the adventure of getting to Houston and back was memorable. It was hard work to pull it off, but it was very much worth it.

Final note.... I'm glad Stone Cold Steve Austin won that final match. If he hadn't, I'm very sure that Texas crowd would have thrown a huge riot! That place was up in arms for that match...

Summerslam '97 Hart & Soul

Great PPV, I am in love with it as it is one of my favoriots of all time. You have the classic Triple H v.s Mankind Steel Cage Match.

Ken Shamrock v.s British Bulldog, as I said in the other thread one of the best fueds of all time.

You get to see the LOD in action :D against the Godwinns, again one of the best fueds of all time.

And of course the Bret Hart and Undertaker match, however this match lost some ability to sell to me as Shawn Michaels was involved (Spec. Gues Referee)
