Chris Benoit vs Triple H: One Hour Iron Man Match
Who do you think will win?
Jebus H. Christflakes! I do believe I posted a set of rules in which I said that YOU WILL PUT SPOILER WARNINGS IN THE TITLE. The Brits and those who taped the show haven't seen it yet.

To be honest I'm not so sure.
On the one hand I think because its HHH he will want to be the "king of the Iron Man match" and win again.
We all know he will get the title at some point, its just a matter of time and when he wants it.
The way they jobbed out Benoit tonight and the way HHH totally disregarded Benoit in his promo it almost made me think they want to go with HHH vs Eugene at Summerslam.
HHH has to be in the main event, so its just a matter of who goes with him. Will it be Benoit will it be Eugene or will it be both?
Actually what I could see happening is that Benoit and HHH are tied going into the last minute, and then Eugene runs in with a chair and KO's Hunter. Hunter gets the win and the title, Eugene is dumb and didn't realize what he was oding. Benoit is upset at Eugene for costing him the title, Eugene wants HHH, Benoit wants the belt back, Summerslam is a 3 way.

I could really see the Eugene idea working out.But after Benoit gettting destroyed as alway there buiding him as the underdog so for that matter i see Benoit winning it.But the most likly situation is a draw because for 1)Eugene/HHH is an alright ME for Raw but for one of the big for is a really bad idea.and 2)they played the triple threat to death this year
eugene better not main event summerslam :@

I agree with that, but I think the last few weeks have really killed any chance Benoit had to be drawing champion.

Because Triple H has kept himself in the spotlight the whole time. Yeah, he may be putting guys like Dinsmore, Benjamin, and Tajiri over, but still, he will not step back and let someone headline.

No one really gives Benoit a chance.I think the reason he is only wrestling on Raw and not cutting long winded promos is because of the fact that people find him boring on the mic.So in way the WWE is tring not to expose his weakness.Eugene/HHH is to predictable.HHH/Benoit in Benoits country not so much. The need to add something speicial to it

yeah but it would have given Benoit so much more cred if he interrupted HHH calling him pathetic...I mean cmon WWE
I agree with Thriller that they shouldn't let Benoit on the mic too much, but he needs to cut short promos at least. Innovator's idea of interrupting HHH is a perfect way, and then HHH gets back at him later on through Batista. Without Benoit being on the mic too much, the feud seems to have even less meaning. I mean, HHH even called Benoit a placeholder for his title a few weeks ago, which is pretty true right now

But he doesn't have to cut promos, he's the World Champ, he should be booked ahead of a guy who should be doing mid card comedy, not to mention Eugene.

The only way that Benoit should be booked ahead of HHH is if he wrestles 5 matches a night.
At least Trips has charisma. And Benoit will win the Iron Man due to Eugene interference

HHH will win, he always wins these stipulation matches doesn't he? But as someone said before, benoit got beat down the other week so they might've just tried to make him look even more of an underdog or something, but then again the stories of headlining hhh with a championship match at summerslam against Benoit could still be true, only Benoit is the challenger this time... :shifty:
I think it'll be a pretty good match, hopefully Benoit goes over, and they have the title change at SummerSlam... I would rather see the title change at a big PPV than on a Raw, and I think Trips sees it that way too...
I've heard that the Iron Man match will OPEN Raw... (JR even said it would be at the top of the hour, but he never said which hour) That's just stupid, especially since Spike TV allows over runs...

Benoit will win, And go on to face a heel Edge at Summerslam.
Trips wont win as he's off to hollywood at the end of summer so if he were to go he'd have to job the belt back to someone pretty quickly, which would make no sense

Oh and Funky, good work with the non spoilerage in the title :y:
This is quite difficult to predict but I think I am goign to go with Benoit after Eugene interference. Then the week after HHH and Eugene face for the number one contendership and that is a draw leading to a triple threat at SS.

Correct me if im wrong but at Bad Blood didnt Benoit have 2 matchs. There was a time he had 2 belts so dont tell me that he not gaining cred and that HHH is stealing the spot light. It would happen even if Trips wasnt banging the bosses daughter.I mean if it was the Rock on Tv cutting a funny promo every week ,Or what if It was Orton would people be complaining that Benoit doesnt cut promos or get TV.Or is it just out of pure hatered for the Game.My point is that its not that Benoit isnt getting airtime or headlining that pisses everyone off its that its Triple H who getting airtime that is.If it was anyone else no one would care because Benoit puts on 5 star matches every week.He does his talking and gains his cred in the ring.Everyone is just looking for another reason to blame Triple H even when he is entertaining at times

If you are the champ you should headline, Benoit hasn't done that (except when he's in with Hunter). Hunter has and always will be the main event on RAW. Any champion other than HHH therefore seems less credible because HHH is always portrayed as the top guy.

Damn it, let it go HHH is an asshole blah blah blah. We got the damn point a long long ass time ago.
Just get over it, he is getting better and i am really enjoying Triple H again. Sure he is the "top guy", but Benoit has had a better run that i think any of us suspected. The HIAC headlined because it was the final match in a LONG ASS fued that has been going on for almost 2 years! So of course a "2-Year Fued Comes To A Close In The Biggest Match The WWE Has to Offer.... HELL IN A CELL!" will headline before a "Kane gets another title shot that nobody gives a rat's ass about".
They could have given the Kane/Benoit more hype, but i think HHH/HBK was such a long and huge fued (long and boring, but still a huge fued) that it outshined the Kane/Benoit match in "hype". Not promotions, but HYPE. Alot of casual fans who are friends of mine were looking forward to the HIAC because they really wanted to see who would finally win the war.
That was a month ago, get over it and enjoy Benoit's reign not being pissed on like Eddie's.

Yes benoit had 2 matches, but they barely had any hype whatsoever. All the tag team title match got was Eric Bischoff coming out and saying that at bad blood Benoit would compete for the tag titles. One show build up, that's it.I bet most people who ordered that PPV forgot he even had a tag title match, i know i did.
And also to back up my point, i haven't seen Benoit got the upperhand on HHH once since they started feuding again apart from when he got that roll up to win the match. Fuck i bet that's the only way Benoit even gets a fall in the iron man match.

If that happens that will be twice Triple H has won the Iron Man Match that way. Remember, that happened against The Rock, when The Undertaker returned at Judgement Day.
Taker came in and started chokeslamming the hell out of everyone, then the buzzer went and chokeslammed Triple H. Of course, HBK didn't hear the buzzer go and DQ'd Rock to give Triple H the win.

I think the Benoit and HHH match should go into a Sudden Death and end with Benoit pinning HHH with HHH's foot on the rope with the ref not seeing it or a double countout in the period.
Personally I think The Raw Main Event at SS should be a EC with
Benoit
HHH
Jericho
Edge
Orton
Eugene

Just the feeling i got from it, maybe that was cos he didn't have any decent opponents though come to think of it...though i really wish he would've beat JBL, that would've made him look unbeatable.
