Chimmel in WWE?

How long has Tony Chimmel been in the WWE? On SmackDown! Cole said over 20 years... Is that accurate? And what was he doing before becoming the announcer? Cause I'm pretty sure he's only been on WWE TV for about 2-3 years...

Well i know from house shows that he also does bits with the ring, so he may have been ring crew before his announcing

before the brand split, when I'd go to RAW live...I'd see him changing the ropes/apron in just street clothes and stuff, so I'd say he's been ring crew. NOw before Smackdown even in the suit, you'll still see him helping out.
